Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi to begin filming 'Selfiee' with Nushrratt Bharuccha

Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi will begin filming for director Raj Mehta's next project in Bhopal. They will be joined by Akshay's 'Ram Setu' co-star Nushratt Bharuccha playing the leading heroine. According to reports, Jacqueline Fernandez may also appear in the film, however, ETimes has confirmed that this is not the case. There's also a high likelihood that Diana Penty may join the cast, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The film is titled 'Selfiee,' and earlier this year, both Akshay and Emraan shared selfies on social media, prompting producer Karan Johar to release a special video announcing the comedy's release. 

Johar wrote in his post, 

“Presenting #Selfiee starring two absolutely smashing actors - Akshay Kumar & Emraan Hashmi and directed by Raj Mehta. Hop into the frame and pose because shooting begins soon (sic)!”

The Sooryavanshi actor had shared a post on his Instagram account in January 2022, posing for a selfie with Emraan as both men rode motorcycles. The caption read, 

“Found myself the perfect #Selfiee partner! Hey @karanjohar, have we slayed this selfie game or what? @therealemraan”. Emraan had also shared the same photo on his Insta page and added a caption, “Joining the #Selfiee club with @akshaykumar!”

For the uninitiated, the Atrangi Re actor and director Raj Mehta collaborated on the film 'Good Newwz,' which received a positive response from the audience.
