Akshay Kumar a livewire on sets of Genda Phool

No points for guessing as viewers will see fun, fun and more fun..

It is a joyous atmosphere as all the Kashyap family members get ready to pose for a family photograph and this is the scene wherein Akshay Kumar makes his entry in the serial.

A Little Birdie tells us that, "Akshay comes in as his character of Sachin Tichkule the road contractor who has been assigned the task of widening the lanes in Chandni Chowk, the fact that the Kashyap house needs to be broken in order to widen the lane comes as a shocker to the family. The family members try their best to convince the contractor, but all is in vain. Later it is the patriarch of the house Dadaji (Sudhir Pandey) who takes the onus on him and decides to go on a hunger strike till the decision is altered. This leads to chaos as every other member of the family volunteers to go on a hunger strike in place of Dadaji as he is a diabetic patient. Finally it is the turn of the smallest member Meethi (Muskaan Uttpal) to say that she will go on a hunger strike as she is healthy and can afford to do so. This is when Sachin Tichkule cajoles the little girl and says that he his Akshay Kumar who has come for the promotion of his movie Khatta Meetha."

A source from the sets tells us that, "Akshay Kumar was very co-operative all throughout 3-4 hours of shoot schedule. He was a live wire on the sets and interacted with each and every actor of the serial. Even for a single second he did not give the impression of being a Bollywood star. He was also seen talking about his humble beginning when he used to live in Chandni Chowk. The actor talked in length about his house and childhood days."

The episode will end on a fun filled note with Akshay Kumar posing with Kashyap for a family photo.

When contacted the producer and writer Zama Habib said, "It was a nice experience to work with Akshay Kumar. He is a very humble and modest person and our team enjoyed shooting with him. We have brought him in as part of the storyline and the track gelled well with the USP of the show. He was bubbling with energy and had a talk with each and everyone in the team."


The episode featuring Akshay Kumar will be aired on 21st July.
