Akangsha Rawat to enter Waaris..

Akangsha Rawat who was last seen in Solah Singarr is all set to enter Smriti Irani’s Waaris on Zee. The energetic actress is back to work and will be essaying one of the important characters in the show.

Akangsha remained tight-lipped about her character, but confirmed this news and said, “I got a call from Zee for a role, and went for the look test thinking it was for a new serial. But only after going there did I realize that it is for Waaris. Initially I was apprehensive in taking this project, but later on found the character to be challenging and took it up”.

However, talking about her character our khabroo adds, “She will essay the role of Ganga, who is a timid village belle, very soft-spoken and is quite oblivious of the city life. An incident brings her to the Rudrapratap house and the circumstance that prevails in which she becomes the love interest to Shaurya (Yuvraj Malhotra) is what is to be seen!”

We contacted the Creative Head of Waaris, Meetu who says, “Well we have roped in Akangsha for an important role but can’t reveal any details now. We are looking in of how to incorporate her character.”

If sources are to  be believed that Ganga will be marrying Shaurya, then what about Rucha Gujarathi? She essays the role of Simran and love interest in the show. “Well Rucha is still part of the project,” adds Meetu.

This will be first new entry in Waaris and hope it gives out equal share to both the actresses!!
