Akangsha Rawat clears the air..

There has been news floating in that Akangsha Rawat was replaced by Madhurimma Tuli in Zee's Shree, produced by Hats off Productions to play the sister of Shree, Bindiya.

Well, as per the buzz in the media circle, the entire unit of Shree starting from the actors to production house to the technicians bond like a family, and when Akangsha entered the scene, she proved to be a sore thumb!!

According to reports, "Akangsha did not gel well with her co-stars and her tantrums were far more magnanimous than her fame. The star had the production team along with the other members of the cast breaking sweat, and it was then that the production house decided to put their foot down and replace her with Madhurimma".

However, when we called Akangsha to know her side of the story she got livid at the false allegations put on her, and said, "First of all, I never did enter their sets and start shoot, so there is no chance of tantrums being raised with co stars or the unit. Yes, I do agree that I was offered the role of Bindiya, and I met them at their office for narration and not on the sets. However, I had a doubt on the character sketch given to me, and did not show my willingness to take up the role. Tell me one thing, if an actor decides not to do a role, why should the concerned people, be it the channel or production house engage in mud-slinging and try to tarnish the image of an actor?"

"There are also rumors that I quoted a big price for the role, which was not accepted by the production house. These allegations are completely false. I have been out of work for more than five months now, and I very well know that we are in an economic phase where we need to slash rates and move on. We all have done that; and tell me why would I want to quote a huge sum and end up sitting at home, when I know I will not be getting it what I quote??", articulates Akangsha.

After all the venting out, the actor just dismisses the issue saying, "This is nothing but cheap publicity. Shree's TRPs have been dropping and maybe they use me as a tool to gain attention".

At the end of the day, we can only say that one's loss is another person's gain. Wonder who was the one who gained at the end of this?? Only time will tell!!
