Film editor, Ajay Sharma, who worked on various hit Bollywood films unfortunately passed away a day ago. He had contracted Covid-19 and while his condition had stabilised, he suddenly succumbed and left for heavenly abode.

Ajay was the editor of several popular Bollywood movies including Jagga Jasoos, Ludo, Karwaan, and the web series Bandish Bandits. He was currently working on Taapsee Pannu starrer Rashmi Rocket.

His demise comes a big blow to his industry friends and family. Rashmi Rocket producer Pranjal Khandhdiya opened up about Amit’s condition and told ETimes:

"Ajay told us over the weekend that his oxygen levels had in fact improved. We got to know this morning that late at 1 am he had collapsed, he just slipped away."

Pranjal also shares the difficulties in arranging a hospital bed for Ajay after his Covid diagnosis and how the Rashmi Rocket team came to his rescue.

"Ajay was in Delhi last week when he got infected with COVID. He needed hospitalisation. It was only after Anubhav Sinha and Taapsee tried for hours and hours that they managed to get a bed for him in the Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Hospital. We can't believe he's gone just when we thought that he'd soon be with us."

May God grant Ajay’s family strength to bear with the loss and we pray that his soul rests in peace...
