Recently, the annual Ghanta Awards where held were the ceremony honors those who performed abysmally on the big screen and the winners list is out! The shocker - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, former Miss World of 1994 and one of Bollywood's leading actress got her first Worst Actress prize!

Aishwarya has won several, highly acclaimed best actress awards in past, most recently for her performance in Guzaarish, but not everyone has forgotten Aish's past film history. The beauty queen received her first Ghanta Awards for her performance in Robot and Raavan. (How expected!) Of course Aish wasn't there to pick up her award. We wonder why!

Others who received such accolades at the publicly voted awards were: Himesh Reshammiya, who won worst actor for his performance in Radio. Priyanka Chopra and Uday Chopra won worst couple for Pyaar Impossible, which also won the worst film award. Aditya Narayan won worst breakthrough for his debut Shaapit. Worst supporting actor went to Zayed Khan for Anjaana Anjaani whilst Lara Dutta pulled a hat trick with worst supporting actress for Housefull (having earned the 'accolade' the two years before that for Blue and Do Knot Disturb respectively). "Let's (Jailhouse) Rock" from We Are Family ran away with the worst song and Sajid Khan won worst director for his movie Housefull.

BollyCurry congratulates all the winners and wishes next time some of them turn up to receive their awards. After all, an award is an award!
