Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father passes away

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father, Krishnaraj Rai who was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital passed away a few hours ago.

It was more than a month that he was admitted to the hospital. He was suffering from lymphoma cancer that spread to his brain.

His condition deteriorated a couple of days back and he was then shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and then when there were no signs of recovery, they put him on the ventilator.

All this while, Aishwarya was by her father's side. Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan too were seen paying regular visits at the hospital.

After giving a tough fight to his illness, Mr. Krishnaraj left for heavenly abode at around 4 pm today.
