Aishwarya Rai Bachchan finally confirms her next with Mani Ratnam

The Cannes festival is about to wrap up and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Bachchan soared the heat at France with her stunning and admirable outfit which had us all under her beauty spell. The actress has yet again proven how she is reverse aging. The actress has set the standards high with her beauty and stylish looks.

However, apart from her beauty Aishwarya is also known for her staggering performance in movies. Now, the actress will be soon working with her guru and film director Mani Ratnam. After Fanney Khan, the actress' fans have been waiting to know what is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's next project.

Earlier, the reports were rife that the actress will be working with director Mani Ratnam again for a multilingual film based on the Tamil novel called Ponniyin Selvan. The film will be a period drama.

During a media interaction, Aishwarya finally confirmed to the reports as she said, "What I will commit to is because even though Mani (Ratnam) hasn't formally announced it himself but the word is out. So yes, I will commit to the fact that yes, I am working with him. I won't say I agreed...I will always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed, humbled and just happy to work with my guru, Mani. So ya, that is happening".

Now the actress has finally quashed all the reports by confirming her presence in Mani Ratnam’s film. As per reports from Pinkvilla, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's character will be of a negative one and she will showcase a mysterious, power-hungry woman who manipulates her husband so that she can plan the downfall of the Chola empire. Her character wants the empire destructed because of the wrong things done to her. Well, we hope to see Aishwarya back on the sets pretty soon.
