In a sign of relief, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan along with daughter Aradhya has tested negative for Coronavirus. The mother-daughter duo is safe from the novel virus and has been discharged from the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. They are now allowed to go home.
However, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan continue to remain in the hospital. Abhishek took to Twitter to confirm the same. He wrote:
“Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”
Last week, Bollywood’s Bachchan family got hit by the novel Coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aradhya had tested positive for COVID-19. Other members of the family also underwent tests and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Navya Naveli and Agastya Nanda tested Covid-19 negative but were under quarantine for two weeks. Big B’s staff also underwent tests for Coronavirus and 26 staff members that worked in close contact with the Bachchan family tested negative for the novel virus.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had declared four bungalows of the Bachchan family - Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Vatsa - in Mumbai as containment zones and sealed them. After two weeks, the BMC removed the ‘containment zone’ poster from outside Big B’s house.
While it is great news that Aishwarya and Aaradhya are now fit and fine and have returned back home, we wish Big B and Junior Bachchan a speedy recovery...
