Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has tied the knot with Pakistani actor Sana Javed, adding a new chapter to his personal life amid ongoing speculation about his rumoured divorce from Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza. Malik took to his social media account on Saturday to announce the news, sharing pictures from their wedding ceremony with the caption: "Allahamdullila And we created you in pairs."

Speculations about Malik's relationship with Javed had been circulating for some time, gaining momentum when the former Pakistan captain extended birthday wishes to the actress last year, accompanied by a picture of the two with the caption "Happy Birthday Buddy."

The 41-year-old cricketer had previously shown support for Javed when the Pyaare Afzal actress faced criticism for alleged rudeness towards juniors and makeup artists on set.

The revelation of Malik's wedding with Javed came as a surprising twist on both sides of the border, given the ongoing rumours of his divorce from Mirza. 

For the unversed, Malik and Mirza had entered marital bliss in 2010 in Hyderabad, following a traditional Muslim ceremony, and later had a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. The couple also welcomed their son, Izhaan, in 2018.
