Probably the most ambitious project for director Karan Johar so far in his career, Takht has been a talking point ever since it was first announced. From the fact that Johar is attempting the historical genre for the first time ever to having a mouth-watering ensemble cast being roped in to play important roles, Takht has indeed been the film to look out for.

However, there was always a lot of conjecture about how and when will the film actually go on floors and release with major reports being about how it will happen by the end of 2020.

But all that can now be put to rest as the mega venture Takht has got a confirmed date of release and will be hitting the theatres on 24th December 2021. Yes! That's right.

Ranveer Singh, who plays one of the lead roles in the film made the announcement along with the rest of the cast too with a teaser that showcases the name of the film - Takht and has a voiceover from Singh and Vicky Kaushal's characters.

Even just by it's teaser, Takht already seems to be a magnum opus and even though the wait is rather long for the film to arrive, we certainly cannot wait for it.
