Aditi Bhatia opens up on Being Stuck at LA Amid Covid-19, says ‘I am terribly homesick’

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein Actress Aditi Bhatia who travelled to the United States to attend a workshop opens up on being stuck in the foregin lands due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the lockdown. The Actress travelled to attend an acting workshop on 14th February but due to the cancellation of flights, is unable to travel back to India. 

The Actress opened up on getting stuck at LA and stated that she had planned to stay back for a few days after her course ended on March 5th to meet her childhood friends and explore Los Angeles. However, a few days before she was scheduled to return to India, she was informed by the airlines that her flight was cancelled. “Incidentally, before the lockdown was announced in India, my mother also flew down to meet my aunt in Philadelphia. She was supposed to meet me, but I cancelled her flight as it wasn’t safe for her to travel. Now both of us are here, albeit in different cities. However, we are fine and safe,” she added. 

Aditi shared that she lives in Mumbai with her Mom while her nani, mama, mami and cousin lives in Baroda. She mentioned that she stays in touch with them via video calls and the fact that she cannot be with her nani is heartbreaking. He further added that she is concerned about her mama and mami who are doctors, who are currently working at a government hospital. 

Talking about missing India and her family, Aditi shared, “I just want to return to India, quarantine myself for 14 days and be with them. I am terribly homesick. Having said that, just the thought of travelling is scary because of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the US. We are waiting for things to return to normal. It would have been better if I were home with nani and mom even if there was a lockdown. I would have at least been in India in my own home.”
