Actors' take on Independence Day

I feel proud to be a part of a country which gives me the independence to do what I want to, pursue religion of my choice and go wherever I want to. We are living in a country where we have freedom of speech and expression, we have right to equality, right to education and we can roam freely. I also feel that when a nation is giving such liberties to us, we should respect the same and never misuse them. We got the privilege to live in an independent society without any boundaries and we should be proud of it.

When I do not have to think twice before stepping out of home even at night, when I can go out with my family anytime and where the society is free from the people who ogle at girls' basis their attire is independence for me.  We have this tendency of not valuing things we get easily. I would just say that after numerous sacrifices we have got freedom, so let's respect the sacrifices and value the independence which we are enjoying today.  Our responsibility should not end here; try to pass on the same learnings to our next generations so that they also value independence as much as we or older generation did.

First of all I would like to wish every Indian across the world a happy Independence Day. This Independence day, we should strive to value, guard and love our nation, work towards preserving our diverse cultures, democratic values and gender justice. Today entire world is looking at India in a positive light and our country is in the fast lane of growth.  I pray from the bottom of my heart that soon we become the most successful and happy country in the world. Last but not the least spread love and use it as your weapon to make the world a better place. 

 

Our freedom fighters have worked really hard to achieve Independence for the country and without them it would have not been possible to see where we are today. 

We owe our freedom to them, and in Order to pay tribute we (Macedon, Nimit, I and our crew - desi hoppers) will be representing India at an international stage, that of world of dance. This is our little contribution to our country and we hope to make our country proud. I would like to appeal each and every individual to contribute in their own way for our nation's growth and prosperity.
