Actress Rashmi Pitre who is one of the most popular names from the Television industry is well known as Chaturi from the show Diya Aur Baati Hum. She has enthralled the audience over the years with her cute and positive acting and has also been seen in central roles in some other popular shows as well. From doing serious, intense roles to roles with a comic timing. The Actress is seen in several ad campaigns these days.

Rubbishing the rumours of leaving acting for her painting career, she says, "I'm very passionate about my acting and it will always be my first priority. I will always continue acting. Acting and Painting are like my two hands. My professional painting career had started very early in my life even before my acting career."

Recently she finished three short films in which she played the main lead roles and the parallel lead role. The films are in post production. Talking about the roles, she says, "I play a modern girl who is very independent and stylish. In the other film too I play the lead role in which I will be seen as a young girl staying in a remote village, who is very courageous and fearless and how she takes vital decisions for her life and family. Both the films are shot in Lonavla for international film festivals. I also acted in a new short documentary film on the topic of lockdown last week."

She added, "I also acted in a new short documentary film on the topic of lockdown last week. I had acted as the lead girl in a Horror Short Film called 'Bloody Anklet' which was directed by Arvind Babbal ji which was well received in festivals. I had a wonderful experience playing a rich girl who accidentally murders a man on the street while driving her own car and gets haunted later. It was a positive but a different role. There are few other projects too. Meanwhile I was also busy in live dance performances and appearences in various celebrity events".

We know Rashmi is also an accomplished Painter. She has done as many as 35 painting exhibitions so far in India, Canada and USA. She feels blessed that her 35th Solo Painting Show that happened from 2nd to 7th March at a prestigious art gallery in South Mumbai, was very well received by the art lovers across the world, just before the Coronavirus outbreak in India.

This year added another feather to her cap since she received three reputed awards for her art. Feeling grateful for her achievements, Rashmi adds,"During this lockdown I feel people are stressed for many reasons and can benefit by indulging in drawing and painting exercises. I'm mentoring people online, free of cost during this time, who are non-artists, so that they can learn and indulge in simple drawing and painting exercises that can help them stay positive, peaceful and refreshed to stay home for a longer time. They can enjoy this with family too. I feel we must all help each other in this time of crisis."

When asked about which roles she would like to play in future on television she said, "I look very young like a teenager or a college going girl so would like to play suitable positive and promising roles."
