Abhishek Bachchan Tests Negative for Coronavirus After Staying 29 Days in the Hospital

In a sign of relief, Abhishek Bachchan has tested negative for COVID-19. The actor was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, along with other family members including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aradhya after they tested positive for the novel virus.

Abhishek has taken to social media to announce the great news. Sharing a photo of the care board from the hospital, he wrote: “I TOLD YOU!!!Discharge plan: YES!! This afternoon I tested Covid-19 NEGATIVE. Thank you all for your prayers and wishes. I’m so happy to be able to go home. #believe My eternal gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff at Nanavati Hospital for taking such good care of me and my family and helping us beat Covid-19. We couldn’t have done it without them.”

Abhishek will now be able to go back home after spending 29 days in the hospital.

A few days ago, on August 2, Amitabh Bachchan had tested negative for Coronavirus and returned back home after he was discharged from the hospital. Aishwarya and Aradhya too had fought against the virus and were discharged last month. 

Abhishek was the only family member who was still admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, waiting for his reports to turn negative. And finally, the actor has battled Coronavirus and emerged healthy and hearty.

In July, Bollywood’s Bachchan family got hit by Coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aradhya had tested positive for COVID-19. Other members of the family also underwent tests and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Nanda, Navya Naveli and Agastya Nanda tested Covid-19 negative but were under quarantine for two weeks. Big B’s staff also underwent tests for Coronavirus and 26 staff members that worked in close contact with the Bachchan family tested negative for the novel virus.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had declared four bungalows of the Bachchan family - Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Vatsa - in Mumbai as containment zones and sealed them. After two weeks, the BMC removed the ‘containment zone’ poster from outside Big B’s house.

Finally,, all the members of the Bachchan family have recovered from the virus and are now safe.
