Abhishek Bachchan remembers his first meeting with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

In these testing times. the one thing that continues to be a motivation for one and all - is to be watching successful marriages in the entertainment world. One of those is the rock-solid marriage of actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Recently, the actor recollected his first meeting with his now-wife which was in Switzerland where Rai Bachchan was shooting for her Bollywood debut, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. During a chat show, he revealed that he was in Switzerland as a production boy for Amitabh Bachchan's ‘Mrityudaata’, when he was invited for dinner with Aishwarya. Abhishek shared that Bobby Deol was shooting his first film with Aishwarya, and he went to say Hi to him when he invited him for dinner. That was the first time he met his wife.

Bachchan revealed that whenever she talks about it, she jokingly says about not understanding a word of what he was saying’. “Because here I was, this kid from an international boarding school, then went to Boston. I must’ve had a really heavy accent at that point. And she was like, ‘What were you saying?’” he added”.

Abhishek had first met Aishwarya professionally in 1999 during a photoshoot for Dhai Akshar Prem Ke. Talking to a magazine, he said, it was their first film together, and he expected a diva, but she was ‘disarmingly wonderful’.
