Abhishek Bachchan recently shared insights into his relationship with his 13-year-old daughter Aaradhya and reflected on the evolving dynamics between parents and children today. Speaking in an interview, the actor revealed how the younger generation approaches life differently, emphasizing that they no longer adhere to the sense of hierarchy that older generations once upheld.
Abhishek explained that, in his time, children would often accept and follow their parents’ advice without question. However, today’s kids are far more curious and analytical. Sharing his observations about Aaradhya, he noted that her generation prefers to understand the reasoning behind decisions rather than following instructions blindly. “They don’t assume that being older means you automatically have all the answers,” he quipped, adding that the internet has become their go-to source for information.
Despite these differences, Abhishek described this shift as “wonderful,” appreciating how children now primarily look to their parents for love and emotional connection. He acknowledged that adapting to this change requires parents to shift their perspective. Having already witnessed this trend with his niece Navya Naveli Nanda and nephew Agastya Nanda, Abhishek said he was prepared for this approach to parenting.
Reflecting on his own upbringing, the actor spoke fondly of his parents, Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He recalled how they gave him the freedom to make his own choices and learn by observing them. This, he believes, has shaped his own parenting style with Aaradhya.
On the professional front, Abhishek is gearing up for his upcoming comedy Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the much-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on June 6, 2025.
With his reflections on family and fatherhood, Abhishek once again highlighted the importance of adapting to changing times while cherishing the timeless values of love and togetherness.
