Abhishek, a supporter of the famous club was at Stamford Bridge in London recently to watch the team's Champions League semi-final against Barcelona when he was presented with the jersey by Peter Kenyon, the club's CEO.
'My first trip to the Stamford Bridge was while filming 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom', where I played a Chelsea fan. This is my seventh trip and I only flew into London for the game. I am a big fan and am trying to bring the world of Chelsea back home in India,' Abhishek told chelseafc.com after receiving the jersey.
Though Chelsea lost the match to Barcelona, Abhishek was still happy to be able to attend it.
Even Abhishek's father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is a religious follower of football. He even posted comments about the particular match on his blog.
'Chelsea lost to Barcelona in the semis in a match that can only be described by all as most unfortunate. Not for the loss, but for the way the loss happened,' Amitabh had posted on www.bigb.bigadda.com.ALSO READ: Amitabh Bachchan on son Abhishek's acting career: "He continues and excels with each endeavour"ALSO READ: Abhishek Bachchan opens up about Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan's unwavering dedication to work
