Star Plus show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' left no stone unturned with its dramatic twists and turns and edgy performance by characters in the ongoing 'India - Pakistan' track. The show has introduced new characters to spike the entertainment quotient a notch higher in every phase of its story-line.

As per the latest development, the makers will now introduce a new family, who will have a past connection with the protagonist of the show - Sandhya played by Deepika Singh.

Abhinav Shukla, who charmed the audience with his performance with shows like Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Hitler Didi will be seen making a comeback on television post his stint with Survivor India.

Supriya Kumari popularly known as Amoli of Bairi Piya will also be seen essaying the role of his sister, a mentally challenged personality. Her character will give us a glimpse of Bollywood classic film Sadma starring Sridevi.

We contacted Supriya Kumari, who confirmed the news and told us, "Yes, I am a part of the show. However, I cant reveal much about the character as of now."
