Aashika Bhatia on the challenges of finding work in the industry as an outsider

Aashika Bhatia recently made waves with her participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2, and while many know her to be one of the most popular influencers, she is also quite the actor! Aashika has been acting since a young age and has been part of successful shows like ‘Meera’ and ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi’. She also made her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan’s 2015 box office hit ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.  Aashika recently shared her views on whether or not the industry is actually more challenging for outsiders than for star kids.

Opening up on the same, she shares, “I don’t think that it’s difficult for anyone to debut in Bollywood. Star kids do get chances but in the end talent also matters. Talent brings you good work. So I think talented people are valued in the industry.”

Speaking about the variety of opportunities for newcomers, Aashika reveals, “There are opportunities for newcomers. Because of this so many actors have gained fame who didn’t even belong to a star family. There are many such actors who have got a chance and they have proved their skills. So I think there are a lot of opportunities for the newcomers.”

About the challenges she faced as an outsider, the actress reveals, “The difficulties I had to go through while getting work without any connection in the industry is that I had to go through several auditions. I had to work hard to get it and even after getting the project I had to work on my skills to get better” she ends.

It is clear that Aashika Bhatia serves as an example that anything is possible even if it may not seem so at first!
