Aamir Khan launches Satyamev Jayate Water Cup 2017 with Maha CM!

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis along with 'Dangal' super star Aamir Khan launched the second edition of Paani Foundation's Satyamev Jayate Water Cup.

The event was held on Tuesday, 3 January 2017, in Mumbai at the Sahyadri State Guest House.

The event was also graced by presence of Minister for water conservation, Shri Ram Shinde along with various prominent personalities from Hindi and Marathi film industry.

The major highlight of the event was the anthem song for the water cup which has been directed by Shri Nagraj Manjule, composed by leading music directors Ajay Atul and sung by none other than Paani Foundation's Co-founder Smt. Kiran Rao.

Aamir Khan has unveiled the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup anthem Paani Foundation's co-founder Aamir Khan and other actors besides many Water Heroes.

The Paani Foundation had started off with 3 districts in 2016 and now 30 districts have been included and targeted for the cause.

The Satyamev Jayate Water Cup is essentially a competition between different villages to see who can do the maximum for the watershed and water conservation.

The Satyamev Jayate Water Cup 2017 competition will take place between 8th April and 22 May this year.
