Aamir Contributes to the PM-Cares and Maharashtra CM's Relief Funds; Supports daily wage workers of Laal Singh Chaddha

The shocking and unprecedented exodus of daily wage workers amid the 21-day lockdown has spread concern across India. While the nation was put on a standstill, the government has been taking up the right measures to contain the spread of the virus. Meanwhile, several celebrities too have come forward to help the government provide necessary rations.

Bollywood celebs have been doing their best to show support by offering huge sums, making necessary arrangements for the patients and spreading awareness. 

A recent report states that Aamir Khan contributed to the PM-CARES Fund and the Maharashtra CM's Relief Fund. In addition to donating to the funds, the Lagaan actor will also be extending support to the daily wage workers who were employed in his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha.

Although the actor didn’t make any announcement about his donation, the news was disclosed by film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh. He shared the details about Khan's donations on his social media as he wrote, "Aamir Khan donates to... #PMCares #Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund, Extended support to the daily wage workers of his forthcoming film #LaalSinghChaddha," he wrote.

Aamir Khan has joined the league of many celebrities donating graciously during this tough time that the nation is facing. Actor Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli, Kartik Aaryan, Rajkummar Rao, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan among others, have pledged their support to various relief funds aimed at combating the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
