Ekta Kapoor does deserve due credit for all the entertainment that she provides us with. From utterly crappy shows to epic ones that the audience still misses, Ekta Kapoor has given us all. She is now back with Chandra Nandini, a biopic on the life of the great Mauryan king, Chandragupta Maurya.

Before the show goes on floors tomorrow i.e 10th of October, we would like to list 5 pointers which we feel could work for the show. Read on...

Shweta Basu Prasad's fiction TV debut

The girl has been through a lot. After making a mark with the critically acclaimed Makdee, she worked in many acclaimed TV shows such as Kutumb, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Karishma Kaa Karishma. Shweta was also caught up in a sex scandal two years ago. Wading through all those difficulties, the girl is now making a very confident comeback to the fiction space. We are proud of you Shweta and look forward to see how much more refined have your acting skills become.

Rajat Tokas back to what he does the best

We are not stereotyping or anything, but we can't help it if Rajat is his excellent best when portraying historical characters. He has so far played Prithviraj Chauhan and Akbar so far and will now essay Chandragupta Maurya. This forte seems to have become his speciality and we are sure that Rajat would do a splendid job here too.

One of its kind love story

Television has witnessed many love stories that started with hatred. But a love story with such hatred that the couple marries each just to take each other's lives? Marrying with the intent of killing the other, is surely something that we will be witnessing for the first time. And the viewers get a glimpse of the hatred that is so evident in the promos.

Lesser Known Saga

Not many television shows have told the story of Chandragupta Maurya and his Queen Nandini. While we've known and even watched several adaptations of sagas like Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharana Pratap and even Jodha Akbar, not much are we aware of Chandragupta and Nandini. And this is what we look forward too. And with Ekta at the helm of the story narrating, we expect it to be out of this world completely.

Extravagant Setup

The promos have already offered you a glimpse of how extravagantly the show has been shot. To top it all, this is one of Ekta Kapoor's most ambitious shows. Hence, it is pretty much obvious that Ekta would leave no stone unturned in its making. Also, the show will be shot in real locations as well, providing the viewers a visual treat.

Well, first and foremost I am really happy that Rajat Tokas is coming back with this show; and yes, I don't care if its a costume saga/historical or any other genre.
Rajat is Rajat Tokas today 'coz he is excellent at everything and any thing,any role of his. He himself is the most important reason for high expectations from this show and for chances of it becoming hit. But I have an objection; yes Rajat is brilliant in historical roles but that's because he is simply one of the best in portraying emotions and all, action, everything.
When he had done PRC, he was not typecast in this genre; but he was a hit because viewers saw how superb he is. I have objection when so many other roles, non-historical roles Rajat has played are conveniently ignored: -
Keshav Pandi, Robindo of Tere Liye, Fear Files, Naagin...were these historicals?
Yet these roles and Rajat were equally loved. How come then he is repeatedly typecast?

First of all all the best to the entire cast of Chandra Nandni ..Rajat Tokas..finally the day came...wish you get more and more success in your life..and become the blye eyed boy of not only ekta but also other producers..
we are waiting to get entertained by this show..all we want is entertainment.thats what makes a show successful...

ROFL yes Jodha Akbar was such a REAL story that the audience almost LEFT watching the sow midway...
Here's the list of the DUMBEST..ooops REAL tracks/story shown in JA:
1.JODHA running away with a beast called khaiber to save him... :o
2JODHA saving akbar from some Abul maali by applying mirchi to the soldiers..BIG LOL
3.LABONI TRACK...where jodha bai was possesed by a bhootni...wow what a real story it is..I am sure Jodha bai must be cursing herself now...
4.JODHA bai dancing in front of britishers to save akbar again...BASANTI PART 2..rofl..
no doubt JA was such a real story ;)
