2019 will start with a bang for Nawazuddin Siddiqui

While the makers of 'Petta' launched the first look of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is playing the main antagonist Singaar Singh in the film yesterday, the curiosity around the film has been drastically increased. The actor looked raw and intense with the geeky glasses.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the Tamil film is a Pongal release and set to break records considering Nawazuddin Siddiqui and superstar Rajinikanth would face-off in the film for the first time ever on silver screen. Interestingly, 'Petta' is the first south venture of Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Post 'Petta', another big film to look forward is definitely Thackarey which is a Republic Day release. Directed by Abhijit Panse, the film is an autobiographical drama of late Indian political leader Bal Thackeray and Nawazuddin will be playing the titular role in it.

With two mega releases in the same month, it is surely an interesting phase for the actor.
