Shubh Kadam, will be the new name for SaharaOne Television's ongoing show 'Kaisi Laagi Lagan'. Wrapped in a chilling supernatural atmosphere and set against the backdrop of a family drama, Shubh Kadam traverse through the journey of Pratha's undying spirit to battle evil over good and save her husband Raghav and his family from this ordeal. From the very moment Pratha stepped in as the bahu of the house, inauspicious incidents begin to set in. Pratha's entry into the house is considered ASHUBH and she is held responsible for the mysterious mishaps that happen with the family. Pratha is completely unaware of the curse that was cast on her family centuries ago by 'Manayata'. Manayata's ghost has now followed Pratha into the house to ransack her peace and prosperity forever. Strange incidents make Pratha wonder if someone is plotting against her and she confides in AMBIKA (Raghav's real mother) who she believes is her firm supporter
Ambika is aware of the ghastly curse that has been following Pratha and the fact that it poses a danger to Raghav's life. So Ambika strikes a pact with Manayata's ghost wherein she agrees to offer a body of a family member for Manayata to possess.
Complementing the twist & flow of the storyline, the show's title has been changed to 'Shubh Kadam'. The change in show title will also see a change of its male lead Asmit Kaushik and viewers will see new face playing the lead role of Raghav. Manayata's ghost possesses a family member and enters the house in a human body starting Wednesday, Feb 11. Hereon the entire Khanna family will encounter a series of unexplainable and scary incidents for 11days which begin in their house the moment clock strikes 11pm. Yet again Pratha will be held responsible for all the untoward incidents that take place inside the house. The raaz of things going berserk for 11 days at 11pm will be unveiled on the 11th day to the viewers. The show will reveal & take the viewers through Pratha's journey in standing against Manyata's ghost who has been haunting the family ever since. It's the battle of GOOD VS EVIL and promises to its viewers a thrilling experience & excitement of unraveling the unknown.

“Kaisi Laagi Lagan” is the story of Pratha, a beautiful 23-year old girl who’s life revolves around her college group in canteens, parties, playing pranks and a whole lot of masti, although she nurtures her own sense of values, culture and beliefs. She’s is brought up by single mother, since her father abandoned them when she was only 5 years old. Since then she had seen her mother struggling hard to bring her up and so to support her mother and herself, she teaches dance to small kids. She is very close to her mother but has no clue that for years her mother is burdened with a secret that she has been guarding from the world – the secret that her family is cursed and that nobody in her family would ever have a happy married life.
Pratha believes in God and supernatural powers, but does not like people to use occult for mere entertainment. Since her childhood she has seen her mother struggling in life, and emotionally she has not come out of it yet. That’s why Pratha believes that love only gives pain, and hence prefers friendship over love. But destiny has something else in store for her… One fine day a PLANCHETTE completely changes Pratha’s life…. out of various questions asked by her friends, one question relates to Pratha’s future husband.
