This one-hour show is based on a story of a middle class girl who believes that she was made for better things in life and will not allow life to put her in a situation of hopelessness and penury. Produced by B.A.G Films, Rubi is an engaging story of a free spirited, headstrong yet naive girl who tries too hard to win in life. She aspires to lead the good life and believes in doing whatever it takes to get it. Rubi’s family is firmly rooted in the values of honesty and integrity, but her world, full of love and protection, comes apart when Life deals her a stern hand. With no money and home, Rubi decides to move to Mumbai to try and break away from her past. The dilemma between rooted family values and her desire to succeed, chronicles Rubi’s journey. Starring television stars such as Chahat Khanna, Ali Merchant and Gautam Rodhe, among others, Rubi will unveil a great new talent in the form of Swasti Sinha, who plays the title role of Rubi.
