The show aims to take the audiences back to their roots where their knowledge on Indian rituals and beliefs will be tested. Vivek Bahl, Chief Content Officer – Turner International India Pvt. Ltd said: "Gyaan Guru reflects and reiterates Imagine TV's belief in home-grown format shows." By bringing this show to the audiences, Imagine TV said it will try to bridge the gap between faith and blind faith. This quiz show is targeted at participants from the age group of 14 to 80- be it children, housewives or even grandparents challenging each other on the same platform. There will be two contestants selected through and each of these contestants will have a person to accompany them. This person (Sahayta) will be a part of the set audience and can help the contestants when in need. The one who answers first five questions correctly wins. To add to the entertainment quotient, there will be a live 'Bhajan Toli' which will begin and end the episodes with an Aarti.-Bhajans
