A 25 year old boy from Sitapur, Aakash dreams of making it big. At an early age, he dropped out of school and took to his family business of Shamiyanas, wedding catering and decorations. Despite being uneducated, he is extremely smart, intelligent, humorous and compassionate. He has single-handedly turned around the failing business and is the sole provider for his family. Nevertheless, he lets his older brother take the credit. He falls in love with Poonam at first sight. He has a heart of gold, and this can be seen when he brings Poonam’s parents to live in his house when they have nowhere to go.

She loves her family and puts them before herself. Her parents consider her at par with their son, and decide to get her married to shield her from hardships, when faced with the prospect of losing everything they own.
