Nuanced at places, lacking in boldness..overall above average!
The movie needs to be appreciated for its attempt to bring discussions on domestic violence & it's nuances to the mainstream. That's one way in which Bollywood movies are improving I would say. Issues like this are not the topic of parallel cinema world alone & stars like Alia Bhatt taking lead roles in such films. Shifts the discussion from the parallel world to the mainstream. I appreciate Alia for her film choices. The whole acting crew was brilliant! The best thing about the movie! Shefali Shah & Vijay Varma were brilliant! Alia & Roshan Mathew were good but still not matching up to the first two! But , I didnt like the comical approach to the subject. It was almost like the makers were being too careful not to offend anyone?!! Anyways, good change! Great effort bringing in change where it's most needed!
