Part A

I was coming from sonal house to mine while checking my phone it was ten o clock in the morning but I was in no hush to reach white chillies as shaurya has given me the liberty to reach office till twelve and he has informed rajiv sir and Vicky saying I asked for half shift due to some personal work . sonal was right making boss your boyfriend surely gives you benefits , I had a naughty guilt smile recalling that . as I entered the gateway of my home , a scene of daily chaos of my house welcomed me . mohit and nehal were having their breakfast on table , they both were again late for their college , I thought . jeevan chachu was coming out from the bathroom while ravi chachu was entering it with a huge pressure face , his daily morning thing . I chuckled on his daily trouble of waiting for his pressure . " balwant agar tune newspaper chat liya ho toh , mujhe filmo wala paper de de ( balwant , if you have read the whole newspaper pass me the movie column) I heard my PD asking dadaji. " haan haan chaiji, ye lo apna filmo wala page , waise bhi mujhe ye nahi padna( okay mother , take this , movie column page ,BTW I am not interested in reading this ) he replied . their cat and mouse fight , are daily morning dose . " acha hai jo tujhe yeh sab nahi padna , tu budha ho gaya hai is sab ke liye ( its good that you don't want to read all this , you have became old for all this) PD replied sarcastically . everyone laughed so did I . as I reach the chair my PD was sitting on . I bend down and side hugged her saying " good morning PD . she hugged me back still holding that newspaper portion in her hand " good morning laddo . kaisa tha arijit ka concert ( how was arijit ka concert ) she asked . I unhugged her to face her but my hands were still around her . " PD , bahut badiya tha . hamne bahut enjoy kiya . ( PD , it was too good . we enjoyed a lot) . " di tune photos li na ( di you did take pictures na ) asked nehal . I stood up and walked to dining table where mohit and nehal were sitting and kanta chachi was serving them breakfast . " haan meri photo freak behna . sonal ke I phone main dher sari photos leli humne ( yes , my photo freak sister . we took a lot of pictures in sonal I PHONE ) I replied with extra sugary smile . " di said nehal after my comment . " ise toh bas photo ki padi rehti hai ( she only cares about the pictures ). Tum dono nashta karo aur college ke liye niklo , aage hi late ho ( you two eat your breakfast and leave for your college . already you are late ) kanta chachi scolded both and they fasten their movement . " mehek tujhe office nahi jana kya ( mehek you don't have office today ) aksed kanta chachi . " aaj half shift liya hai chachi ( I took half shift today chachi) I replied . "kya baat hai tere khadoos ne tujhe half leave dedi( surprising , your khaddoos gave you half leave ) commented mohit . everyone laughed on that but I didn't felt like laughing in fact I didn't liked it at all. Especially when they didn't mean jokingly . " lelo shaitaan ka naam liya aur shaitaan hazir ( think of the devil and devil is here) commented my dadu while going through newspaper. I was amused why he said that . " kehda shaitaan papaji ( which devil father) asked jeevan chachu to my dadaji while sitting on the dining table for having his breakfast . " arre mehek ka boss khanna( meheks boss khaana) he replied . I was more confused now . I immediately got up from the seat with a exigency in my mind and stood behind the chair my dadu was seating . he had opened the delhi times and there was a clear picture of shaurya all smiling , holding hand of a girl whose face was not clear in the picture and I was stupefied as that girl was me . my mouth did no moment only my eyes grew widen reading the story tagline " delhi's famous food tycoon with his new love interest my dadu narrated that loudly In his very Indian accident with few pauses in between . hearing the news nehal immediately came with running steps to join me where I was standing . she literally snatched the newspaper from dadu giving me also a clear view on the news chanting " dikhao dikhao dikhao( show show show ) she said in excited tone . she read the whole news " delhi food tycoon , the young successor shaurya khanna was spotted last night having chill out time attending arijit concert that happened in gurgoan last night . the charming man was seen in VIP zone where he was enjoying the music with his friends . however one girl was seemed pretty much close to him . the couple was spotted doing PDA while enjoying with each other . due to darkness and crowd a clear image of this new lady couldn't be taken but as per our sources the girl was seen wearing a denim jeans with yellow kurti and was donning a cap , well a known way to hide face . after almost two years we have seen THE MR khanna with a girl and seeing their comfort we can say the love is blooming . hope he share his love life soon with the media which may led to heartbreak of many of his female admirers . nehal read that load and clear . I had to cover myself . " mera matlab , zaroori thodi na ho uski girlfriend ho . shayad friend bhi ho sakti hai ( I mean , its not necessary that she's his girlfriend only . may be she is a friend) I said trying to sound logical here but seeing my defending comment for shaurya they all were surprised and I had to make them believe that I said it casually " aur agar girlfriend hai bhi toh hame kya farak padta hai ( and if she is his girlfriend then how does it affect us) I said in the most casual manner I could say . elders of my family were convinced but not my siblings " tu bada boss ki side le rahi hai di , bonus extra mila kya ( you are defending your boss a lot , did he gave you extra bonus) commented mohit sarcastically . " tu janti hai kya iski girlfriend kaun hai ( you know his girlfriend ) asked nehal . " nahi ( no) came my instant reply . " di koi girlfriend ka label lekar nahi gumta hai ( di , no one walks with a label of having a girlfriend ) said mohit while getting up . I just smiled to him . Why are you defending him so much . have you heart fallen fro him)? nehal whisper teasingly in my ear and chuckled at the end . I was tongue tied for few second but I had to act genuinely . " chuuup kar nehal . bakwas mat kar ( shuuutt up nehal . don't talk rubbish ) I said in made up irritating way . she chuckled more . " tum dono shaurya ki prem gatha chodo aur college ke liye niklo ( you both leave shaurya lovelife and leave for your college ) said ravi chachu who just came out from washroom . they both hasten their steps and wrapped up their stuff and said bye to everyone to leave . " are news paper toh wapas kar ja nehal ( atleast return the newspaper nehal) aksed my dadu . " dadu apko shaurya ki love life main interest nahi hai na , par mere pure batch ko zaroor hai ( grandpa , you don't have any interest in shaurya love life but my whole batch has) said nehal with a laugh as she and mohit did a hi fi and left . " ye ladki bhi na ( this girl ) commented my dadu. I just turn to leave when my PD asked me " ladoo tub bhi kal isi concert main gayi thi na ( sweetheart , you also went in the same concert only ?) . my foot haul in mid way only . I was scared for this query only . I turned with a fear in my heart but trying to maintain extreme calmness on my face . all eyes were on me only except who asked the question as PD's back was facing me . " PD , main toh normal zone main thi , newspaper main likha na woh toh VIP zone main tha . maine use nahi dekha ( PD , I was in normal zone and according to news he was in vip zone . I didn't see him) I answered with no hesitation , my lie was that brilliant . To avoid any further question I just excused my self from there " main chalti hoon office jana hai(I make a move , had to go office) I replied and without waiting for anyone I tuned and left for my room . I had to talk to shaurya about this .

Feeling the sunrays on my closed eyes , my sleep was getting disturbed . without opening my eyes I just turned my self to left side and snuggled my face more into cushion to continue my sleep but I heard some moment in my room . I was irritated as my sleep was disturbed now as the lights of my room were on . " awara maine kaha tha na mujhe 11 baje se pehle mat utha na( awara I told you na not to disturb me before 11 o' clock) so how dare you I shouted in my sleepy state . " sir , maine apko nahi disturb kiya( sir I didn't disturbed you ) I heard a scared awara . " so who was it your mother I shouted getting up in a sitting position and I saw my nanz and my mother standing near my bed and awara was standing near the door with a fear face holding a tray in his hands . " no beta your mother and her mother disturbed you said my mom. I was cooled down now . I closed my eyes due to tiredness leaning my head back and stretching my neck . " what happened mom I said in lazzy tone . " awara coffe rakh aur ja ( awara , leave the coffe and go ) I heard my nani . I moved back to support myself on the bed rest in my sitting state only and I saw them taking seats on the bed with my half opened eyes . " beta agar ab news paper ne hi mujhe teri zindagi main kya chal raha hai batana hai , toh yeh bhi bata de kaun sa newspaper regularly follow karun sahi khabar ke liye ( son , if a news paper only has to inform us about what is happening in your life , then please do tell us which one to follow) said my mom in a sarcastic tone . I was making my self to be more awake . " hmmm came from my mouth as I decipher what they said . " haan kaam se kaam saath wali bungalow ki hema ji se toh paata na chale ( atleast , hemaji from next bungalow will not inform us) said my nanz in a dramatic tone . I took a wide yawn and said " subha subha serial kyun shuru kar diya apne ( morning morning why your serial is on ) I asked very lazily and tired from their morning drama . " haan beta hum ghar main serial bhi na bane beshak tumhari love life headline ban jaye( yes son , we should not become serial in our home but your love life can become the headline) said my mother . " whaaatt I said while yawning . my mother showed me a newspaper , placing it in front of my eyes . I looked at it and rubbed my eyes with one hand to clear my vision and took the news paper with my other hand . as my eyes got clear I tried to adjust them to read but the picture got my attention . it was my picture with mehek from last evening concert with headline " delhi's famous food tycoon with his new love interest . I read the whole story and then my eyes got stuck to the picture . it was the time when I was leaving with mehek . one of hired spot boy was escorting sonal and I was holding mehek hand while we left from the back stage area with the idea to not come in eyes of media . my picture was clear but my image was blocking meheks face . I remember how tightly she was holding my arm with a fear to be lost in the crowd . with out any control a smile came on my face seeing the picture . " karuna , maine kaha tha na ladke ko pyar ho gaya hai ( karuna I told you no, boy is in love) said my nani in rhyme tone. They both laughed lightly . " bol shaurie , nani sahi bol rahi hai na , kaun hai woh ladki( tell shaurie, nani is right no, whose the girl) asked my mother lovingly . I knew knowing the girl is mehek my mother would be happy only but then I knew the next thing in her mind will be marriage as she is already so fond of mehek , which is not on my mind at all . I turned my smile into smirk . " kuch zada hi face reader nahi ban gaye aap dono ( aren't you both have became enough of face reader ) I said in a sarcastic tone. Their happy face became stern . I chuckled and got down from the bed moving towards the table where awara left my coffee . " its nothing like that ma, just a made up news by delhi times I said and picked my morning green coffee. " matlab kya hai tera( what you mean) asked my nani. I took a sip and said " nanz ap dono toh aese behave kar rahe ho jaise peheli baar news main meri photo aayi hai kisi ladki ko meri girlfriend tag karte hue ( nazs, you both are behaving like first time such picture of me with a girl tagged as my girlfriend has come) , so relax its nothing like that . I took another sip while standing in front of them. " jooth mat bol shaurie( don't lie shaurie) said my mom. " why will I lie mom I said trying to be as true as I can . " kyunki valentines day se tu kuch badla badla hai ( because since valentines day you are little different) you look very happy said my nanz . I took a sigh with amusement. is my happiness with mehek so obvious , I questioned my self . I closed my eyes . arguing with them will be no use best is to avoid their questions. " mom, nanz . I saying this last time . I am not seeing anyone okay I took another sip and gave them a strong look but they still were stick to their same tangent . " mat bata beta , hum bhi pata laga hi lengen ( don't tell us son , we will also find it) said my nanz while getting up and my mother followed her . I made a way with my hand for them. My phone rang and my caller id said in between the ringtone " mehek calling I rushed to silent my phone. As I did that , I noticed the surprise look on my mother and nani with my exigency towards my phone . " mehek my mother questioned . " bye bye Sherlock home , bye I said to them indicating to move out and I myself moved towards the balcony to attend the call of miss "imperfect timing .

As I was certain that I am out of range of my mother and nanz ears I picked mehek's call and before I could even say hello she spoke , " shaurya tumne newspaper dekha( did you saw the newspaper ) asked mehek . so means she too read it . " dekha nahi , par dekha diya gaya( I didn't , but I was made to see it ) by maa and nanz I answered in non energetic tone . " kya ( what) she exclamated which heard to me very dramatic . " yaar ab tum serial mat ban jao, subha subha sabne star plus shuru kar diya ( gosh , now you don't talk like hindi soaps, morning morning you all started star plus ) I said being tired from their overt reaction . " shaurya tumhe mazak lag raha hai( you think this is zoke) she asked in raised tone . " nahi mehek mujhe yeh saza lag rahi hai ( no mehek this feels like punishment to me ), you all disturbed my sleep yaar " I said while yawning in between the words . " yaha meri neend ud gayi hai , aur tumhe sone ki padi hai( here my life is disturbed and you are worried about your disturb sleep ) I heard her in raged tone this time . " mehek relax , its not a big deal . media keeps on writing such stuff about me , its nothing new to me . plus your picture is not even clear . so no one will know it was you . you are safe I said giving an explanation to calm her . " but I don't want anyone to have any wrong views for you . she explained her worried . for few seconds I processed what she said and had this thought that she worries about my image . At one point I felt good knowing her care for me and at other point I know she wants this so that she could present me as her choice in front of her family which all will lead to marriage , which is very soon on my cards right now . " shuarya shaurya , so gaye kya( shaurya shaurya, are you sleeping) asked mehek after my few seconds silence . her voice broke my trance . " I am listening to you mehek I replied getting back to her call . " shaurya we have to do something about these rumours " she said in a worried tone . seeing her stressed so much I thought to tease her to lighten up " mehek , don't stress up .I have a perfect way to relax you I said in an extreme serious tone . " what she asked In a baby voice . " meet me and I will kiss you will feel heaven baby I chuckled at the end as I said this . f. " shaurya , duniya main na kiss ke alawa bhi koi topic hota hai( shaurya, there are others topic also in the world except kiss) she sounded with a fake calm tone . " baby hota toh bahut kuch hai , par tum karne nahi dogi( baby , there are lot of thing , but you won't let me do those to you) I said in a naughty way . knowing her I was sure she would be blushing on the other end . " its useless talking to you, bye her voice has nervous yet smile tone . the call ended from her side and I was my self smiling guessing her reaction right now .

I entered white chilles at around 12 o'clock and as I was crossing the corridor . I spotted Vicky near reception talking with staff at reception . I approach him and called him " vicky . he turned to my voice . " good morning. You are quite late today he said . I just twitched my upper lip in response . " seems like you had quite fun at concert. Delhi times haan he said the last part in a mocking tone. " now you don't start . I said irritatingly. he chuckled in response . from when did you started reading newspaper so routinely I asked . " mom , was asking. when one of her kitty party friend asked her about same and mom has how much interest in your life ,you already know . she loveees you he said in a teasing manner . I just rolled my eyes on his sarcastic words " okay look mom and nanz might try to find out about my new girlfriend from you I said in a serious tone . he looked at me amusedly knowing that . " don't tell them anything . okay I said emphasizing on my words . he laughed on my words . " Vicky I said in a daunting manner . he controlled his laugh and zipped his lips through his fingers . he looked over me and said hi to someone . I turned and saw mehek coming in a nervous way . she faked a smile to both me and Vicky and stood near us " good morning she wished us . "good morning mehek replied Vicky while I just glanced a smile to her . " how was the concert asked Vicky in a casual manner but the question made mehek stunned and she replied in the most defensive manner " concert , kaunsa concert , kaisa concert . main kisi concert ko nahi janti , infact mujhe pata hi nahi concert kya hota hai . both me and vicky looked at her amusedly . while Vicky burst into laugh , I had my eyes close on her unknown foolishness . as I opened my eyes I saw her bewilder look to us . " I will not even tell myself shaurya , bye said Vicky while controlling his laugh . " bye mehek saying that he left us. Mehek had a brooding look on her face and finally she got the sarcastic Vicky , " Vicky knows about us she asked and I found her look quizzical . I smirked to her situation . " bye its better no one sees us together today saying that she was about to leave when sensing no one near us , I holded mehek from her elbow and dragged her to my cabin " come . her pleases to leave her had no effect on me as I escorted her with her unwillingness to my cabin. I locked the door as soon I made her enter my cabin . " shaurya , someone would have seen us she complained . I turned to her , she was irked up on me . " its okay mehek even if someone would have seen us . we are colleagues here and relax . there are no media over here I step forward and touch her finger tips of right hand , slowly taking her whole hand in mine . we both were looking at the moment of my fingers on her hand only . " then what do you want from me . to change my self I said in a plain tone . she didn't had answer to that question . she just looked on the side and even I didn't said anything , was waiting for her to say something . she got up from her seat and walked to me , she looked at me with dry but vulnerable eyes . she cupped my face with her hands . I looked at her hand as I felt her palms on my beard skin. " I love you shuarya . ( she looked deep in my eyes with her eyes matching her words ) ,the way you are . changing you ( her voice went dry as she was talking), would be last thing , I will ever ask you. She said . " but she uncupped my face " my family approval is very important to me. She completed her sentence . seeing her so stress about all this , I said my next words " don't you think we are exaggerating the topic , I mean , we are not even at the point where we are informing our families . it's a later topic . stop over thinking I kept my views . " I know that , but todays hearing their opinion about you, all I could think was , how to change their mind before I tell them about us she said . I was hell irritated now " so , what do you want me to get an image make over , so that your family would like me in future , NO mehek that's not happening . I am proud to be what I am , whether I look good in the eyes of people or not " saying that I turned my face away from her . I deliberately didn't looked at her . I know I am right on my part , changing my self is not my thing and she needs to know that very well . I didn't heard anything from her . after few minutes of silence she just said " bye and left from the room . I didn't saw her leaving . I was feeling warm inside me , even in this 18 degree ac also . I just took the paper weight from my table and throw it somewhere and something broke ,like my inner calmness was breaking after having this whole conversation with mehek .

Mehek should consider herself very lucky her face wasn't clear in the picture or else she would have had a lot to answer too. Kind of felt PD figured it out when she asked about Mehek also being at the concert putting two and two together but she didn't elaborate anymore after Meheks answer.
Loved Kaurona maa and nanz interrogation of SK . Then all of a sudden karouna said Mehek when the phone rang wondering did she see the caller Id before SK pounced towards the phone or does she have an idea about how much SK likes Mehek? Mehek is really worried about her families acceptance of SK and the idea they have of his image. She didn't like the jokes said about him so instead of correcting the misunderstanding they have about him she chose to change him and that isn't going well with SK . He is proud of himself and is letting her know that he doesn't care about what anyone thinks of him . Instead of talking it out with him she chose to leave even though he really isn't at fault another disagreement and separation happened 😕 . The ending is alittle frustrating because SK didn't do anything wrong as he is the one who wanted to make their relationship known to all but she stopped him a few chapters ago. She chose to keep there relationship in the dark instead of introducing him to everyone. She really doesn't have the right to be upset and leave . Hope he isn't the one that has to chase after her and apologize this time. Her my way or no way will eventually make her lose him
