Why for her into an unwanted relationship is it so wrong it a Middle-Class girl works if she want to support the family she loves she can run her business and become a success make her family proud why force her to marry and then that family will take over her business what about her family who brought her up with so much love. I STAND BY MY WORD I HATE KANTA. Today what kind of a mother will see her child in pain and make her stand while you argue the child has an abdominal wound your first priority is to make her comfortable take her to the nearest hospital for medical help NOT ARGUE WITH SHAURYA. he is hurt too but did she care those three brilliant adults left him there oh god he is someone's child too he needs medical help too. Then her violent behavior shoving him to the wall yes you are angry but don't allow that anger to overpower you she behaved just like Shaurya she calls him a gunda {No sure if I spelled it right ]But she behaved just like one today. Sharlene, I understand your PoV.
But here am not sharing my PoV through Kanta Chachi.. Am just trying to explain her actions from her perspective as she sees things - which is again a consequence of her conditioning, surroundings, value system etc.
In no way am I condoning her actions or Shaurya's. Flaws are there on both the sides - the way Shaurya sees things and the way Kanta chachi sees it.
Her actions are driven by that.. marrying a girl off, being concerned about what others think of the family, girl's career secondary to her marriage etc are part of a certain mindset..
So while I read all the hatred against Kanta chachi, what I get is hatred against the idea of Kanta chachi, what she stands for, the mindset
ZKM in a way, is showing us all the mindsets that exist in society - pammi, sheetal, PD, Mehak, Nehal, Kanta chachi etc..
And in that case,
I cant stand the mindset of Dadji, Sheetal, Pammi, Ajay, Rohit, Kanta chachi, Mehak etc and last not but the least Shaurya..
Only one I find acceptable is PD..
And talking of career etc, that push and the ardor for it should be evident from Mehak itself.. she herself gives half baked response to it which is unconvincing..
If I were her, I would have left the family after break up, gone abroad for some higher studies to further my career or found a job out of Delhi.. but this is the liberty of only around 5% of population..
