MY HEAD IS SPINNING. Have the CVs decided that they're gonna do this back & forth with us every single day? Just freaking yesterday we had such a sweet confession..they should let it sink in. They could have shown us more cute scenes between drunk Mehek & Shaurya. BTW how did she get so sober so fast.. probably just like how she got drunk so fast 😆 And did Shaurya seriously let her go home by herself after all that?

Either the editing is bad, or the CVs are seriously just skipping transition scenes & that really makes the viewing experience less enjoyable. Sometimes the episodes feel like they had no connection with the previous. I understand that they're eager to keep this drama fast paced & reach their huge climax point probably by the 100th episode or somewhere close.. but they really need to slow down & give breathing space for us to feel the romance & the emotions the characters are going through i.e MehRya's excitement to be together, Mehek & her family's sadness that she'll have to leave this warm family behind, her fears & apprehensions regarding her new life & how she's going to adjust esp having met her new in-laws & most importantly CONVERSATIONS. For instance, the confession yesterday was beautiful but I realised that beyond the ILU we've never really heard MehRya describe each other or actually discuss each other with their closed ones (Mehek with her friend, & Shaurya with his dadi - speaking of which where is Shaurya's dadi)

I keep saying this & I can't stress this enough. As much as MehRya have great chemistry & you can see the love they have for each other (major credit to Karan/Samiksha for their chemistry) I need them to sit down together & talk. Talk on the phone, talk face to face, text, whatever, but they really should be communicating. I hate it when lead couples on Indian shows just don't communicate & simply lock eyes with each other. People change when they get together in a relationship. Their body language with each other is different. They look to each other for validation, love & support. Esp here we have 2 leads who faced loss at an early age.. all the more they should be opening up about it. Of course, its not just the emotional conversations that I look forward to.. I would like them just goofing around, talking about random things or things they like. Some outdoor shots preferably? I know they're going to be married soon but that doesn't mean it should all be just left for after marriage. I want them to be more coupley.😳

I loved Shaurya's gesture of enquiring about Mehek's childhood. That was really sweet & heartwarming. At points, his sadness over Mehek's loss were clearly visible. And I really hope we'll get a good emotional scene of Shaurya not only gifting Mehek the doll, but being there for her & getting her to open up about her void. And I hope Mehek will be able to get Shaurya to do the same, too. Because really that's what being in a relationship is about - being there for each other & looking out for one another.

Also, CVs please give us some hints of the future tracks/source of conflict between MehRya. I just can't wrap my head around what these vultures are seeking to achieve from Mehek. I definitely don't think its revenge from Shaurya's side, but there are hidden motives for sure. The childhood connect could be there, like another member mentioned in her post. I was also reminded of the very 1st promo of this show - of how Shaurya used Mehek's recipes but never gave her credit (and he did look very interested in her mother's recipe book today) so maybe Shaurya has realised that its beneficial to keep Mehek by his side to further his business? Not to mention that it would look good for his image given that she was the one who slapped him on television? Or has Shaurya realised that its better to keep Mehek by his side as wife to protect her from the vultures in his house than to keep her away? Ideas anyone?

CVs hum par rahem karo.

WORD.
I agree with basically every point you've raised! One of the things that has bothered me the most since MehRya got together is in fact the sheer lack of open communication b/w them. Either it's him pestering a love confession, her telling him to go away, or something very insignificant LOL. I can't think of a single scene where they have talked about something weighty :/ I would really like to see her having a semi-breakdown as she recalls her past with Shaurya there to support her, that would do WONDERS to their relationship! As you said, just some light-hearted scenes together where they can just enjoy their company and do things that COUPLES IN LOVE DO!!

I find it really hard to believe now that Shaurya is faking, they've shown so many scenes of him alone thinking about her or being emotional about her, PLUS his love for his Mum is genuine, right? I can't see why he would drag her in this mess if he was faking :(

So basically my heartfelt request to the CV's is PLEASE give us some very NORMAL couple scenes b/w MehRya, some with less eyelocks and bg music, and MUCH more dialogue!

Great post, btw! 😊

Totally agree about lack of smooth transition. Even though I love mehrya chemistry, these abrupt shifts in narration spoil the experience a little. And conversations are important.

I loved Mahek's childhood memories scene. I didn't find anything creepy about Shaurya nor did I doubt his love, but there was a slight change in his countenance when he was going through Mehak's mom's recipe book. My guess is that he is going to get the copyrights for all the recipes in that book before KD tries to bind Mahek in a contract. There is surely some past connection between them related to accident. But I didn't get a bad feeling about Shaurya , because Kantha chachi said that he will take care of choti Mahek too. I have a good feeling about it. Let's hope for the best.😊

Totally agree Samridhi. The pace is too fast that I don't see them as a normal couple having conversations. There could be some light hearted moment between them rather than game of chasing and ILU. Don't want to see them married soon. . Somewhere an interlink between the episode is missing, today episode left me dazed and confused. Unpredictability is nice but if stretched to a point feed boredom.

Bang on...

I won't comment on this unnecessary breakneck pace of execution. I am continuously ranting about the same for days. Instead of smooth lyrical transitions, the scenes seem to be jumping from one to another, so hardly any continuity. She was so drunk that she passed out. And a few hours later she was on her feet, absolutely normal. The hangover phase remains for quite a few hours. And she must be stinking with alcohol. Anyways, I am imagining that it was her staged drama, she was not drunk in reality.

After I had watched SK shedding tears, I sincerely thought that I would pack my conspiracy theory off for good. I did that till I watched today's episode. I found his smiles/smirks quite fishy, when Mahek was describing how bogged down she is with her work (Really 😲!!!). He seems to be more than supportive w.r.t. MS' career, which is revolutionary going by the standard set by ITV. Though I am not complaining, but it's so out of the box that it does raise suspicions. I would give him a benefit of doubt regarding him seeming more than interested in that recipe book. Being a celebrity chef, it might be his passion for cooking that made him so engrossed.

Last but not the least, there MUST be some heart-to-heart conversations between M & S. They hardly know each other. And communication is THE best way to do the same. Relationship is also about getting to know each other apart from being in love. In order to build up the trust, deeper understanding and yes, respect they NEED to talk. They both have been scarred at an young age. So some breakdown scenes from both sides and respective emotional supports from the other side would do wonders. They should not leave everything post marriage.

Sammy 🤗 for this post.
I've lost interest in hindi shows over the years because I see more and more of these kind of eyelocks, hot moments thrown into shows to make it all look romantic but in the end, they lack the substance. With this show, I saw the potential in the characters and the leads as one unit. It was refreshing to watch a girl with a phobia slowly overcome that and fight for what mattered to her - cooking. And then you have the lead man who may be seductive and rubs in how dashing he is to the female lead time and time again, and arrogant, but surprisingly fair. Fair in that he never rejected a good dish. Fair in that despite being abandoned and having issues with women, he never looked down upon them in general. What he had problems with was people with double standards, like him pointing out about women who want to compete with men but at the same time, want to fast for men. And then you have the presentation of Mehek's family who treated her with genuine love. All in all, I found a lot of hints of progressive thinking in the way the characters were presented.

Post the slap, I feel the pace has changed. The characters are still in their element, but this fast pace definitely makes it difficult for me to connect with their emotions. Not to mention the obvious turnaround of Shaurya which was a little shocking. Coming to your main point on the lack of conversations, AMEN. For a couple who is madly in love and going to get married, they have not yet had a conversation. What do they know about each other? Why aren't they leaning on each other? Why aren't they sharing their feelings about life, people, or even their past with each other? It really is starting to bug me. Not to mention in light of Shaurya's constant demands for a kiss or a declaration of love, the lack of conversations appear even more striking. Good chemistry can only carry a show so far and the actors are doing a fine job. Even if the creatives are planning on some major twist that may possibly separate the leads (whether S's revenge or some hidden motive or the past) they should cash on this phase which I find weird that they are not doing so. This is the time where they should make the pace slower and let the leads' romance regardless of whatever twists are ahead. This ambiguity is making it difficult to enjoy the show. I don't expect them to reveal all the twists at one go. But then they need to start giving some clear hints. The 'back and forth' as you rightly put it, is starting to turn me off because it creates a huge disconnect (rather than appear as intrigue). Also, with all these twists looming, I hope the focus on MehRya's relationship will not be affected. I quite like how the show has focused on them so far.

Sorry for the long post. I will probably be back to say more.😆

Hope your health is better btw.😊
