You know, if she joined in the stupid/false excitement of Harmony's impending wedding, I would be very disappointed. How can any thinking person take this whole wedding seriously anyway? And I have to say that Harmony is beginning to annoy me. Even if she's 18...(and that's just too young to get married in this setting), she's a bit too naive. There's a difference between kiddish and mentally challenged.
I'm also wondering how Dadu can just sit back and watch Harmony Baby get married to someone she met a few days ago and whom Dadu has never set eyes on! Where's his responsibility to look after Harmony??? She says 'Dadu come for my wedding' and Dadu asks no questions. Instead Jadeja family are busy pulling out old clothes to wear for the event.
Our shows are just too hung up on WEDDINGS! ...even really crass stupid ones. I think Harshili has made it clear that she isn't interested in early marriage. Else she would have ended up in some messy mandap drama herself.
Now Harshili is actually the busiest person in that family. She has a demanding, responsible job that requires long hours. Total opposite of the Modis. So she's the misfit. The minority. Since no one is going to listen to her, she decides she'll have NO part in this nonsense. Better to not witness the elopement/mandap drama. After they end up in the Jadeja house, Harshili will actually be quite happy i think. Modis will develop some emotional intelligence as well as just ordinary common sense.
Comedy works best when it's not overdone and comedy doesn't mean stupidity. I can't wait for Modis to go to J house.
