Zindagi Gulzar Hai : Top 7 Reasons That Makes The Show
Forever Memorable
When Zee had shared its plans to launch the channel Zindagi to showcase Pakistani serials in India, I had little clue
regarding what we were going to get. Yes I had heard that there are some great serials that are made across the border but
never got to sample the same. I did happen to see a Pakistani serial by the name of Sun Leyna that was aired some eight to
nine years ago in bits and pieces and did feel that their way of showing stories in serials is different but I still could not
prepare myself to what was coming my way.
All the serials that have been aired so far are like a whiff of fresh air. There are real human emotions that we get to see in
the serials and so when you start watching any of their show, you just feel as if you have become addicted to it and waiting
another 24 hours for the next episode is like a big wait
Zindagi Gulzar Hai was the first serial that I started watching largely out of curiosity. In addition I also liked the positive
ring of the serial and I must say that after watching this I think it will be difficult for me to go back to watch the overstretched
family dramas and mythological serials.
I have just finished watching the last episode of Zindagi Gulzar Hai and I am already having mixed feelings. For starters, it
is still difficult for me to accept that this was the last time I would see Zaroon and Kashaf together on the television screen.
Though, I am sad that things have ended but at the same time I love the pace at which the story progressed. Here are seven
reasons why I loved watching Zindagi Gulzar Hai and why I will miss it so much.
Writing
In our process of stretching the story lines, accommodating a maha episode, making sure there is a twist every day,
somewhere down the line we have forgotten the art of story telling. Hence most serials that we see on Indian television
start on a high note and fade out in a few months time. Given that, Zindagi Gulzar hai had just 26 episodes, the storyline
was always crisp and keeps you glued.
Yes it was not perfect, there were a few lose ends here and there but those things could have been easily overlooked as not
even for a second you felt that the story was going nowhere.
If this was not enough even some of the scenes and lines in the serial were written brilliantly. As per me, one of the
brilliantly written scenes of Zindagi Gulzar Hai was when Kashaf discover that she has started loving Zaroon and expresses
the feeling in her diary.
Acting
In the bid to add tadka in the serial and to make sure that there are enough twists, the director of Indian Tele series end up
lacing our serial with an overdose of melodrama.
In Zindagi Gulzar Hai we get to see some great acting and that too not just from the lead actors. Don't get me wrong, I
agree that Fawad Khan and Sanam Shaikh as Zaroon and Kashaf were brilliant but so was Rafia, who played Kashaf's
mother in the serial.
Fawad has managed to add so much charisma in Zaroon's character that there is no way that you can ignore him. Be it the
cheesy romantic husband or chauvinist pig, Fawad manages to bring both these aspects out of Zaroon's character almost
effortlessly. Sanam as Kashaf is equally endearing. She brings so much life in her character that you can actually feel her
pain, her helplessness and even the fear.
Apart from these, Mansha Pasha who essays the role of Kashaf's sister, Sidra and Ayesha Omer as Sara Junaid also
delivered exemplary performances.
