Actor Ali Zafar, last seen in Total Siyappa, has been garnering a lot of attention for his different look in his upcoming movie Kill Dil. He has been one of the finest Pakistan imports in Bollywood. Already famous as a singer-actor, Ali Zafar made his debut with Tere Bin Laden (2010) that welcomed him in India with open hearts.

But his next releases either saw him play second fiddle to Imran Khan (yes, Imran Khan!) in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan or be a part of multi-starrers like Chashme Baddoor. This has somewhere led to him being taken as secondary lead of a movie. And then, amidst all the numerous Pakistani faces making debut in the Indian showbiz industry, came another actor that took the nation by storm - Fawad Khan aka Fawad Afzal Khan!

Similarities between Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar

The two hunks from Pakistan - Ali Zafar and Fawad Khan have a lot in common from being Lahori boys to starting off their careers as singers, but the perception about the latter is slightly more positive. Fawad Khan, who made his debut in Bollywood with Disney's Khoobsurat opposite fashionista Sonam Kapoor, eyes a brighter future.

Fawad Khan had become the talk of town much before the release of Khoobsurat, thanks to his epic telly drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai. Ali Zafar, senior to Fawad Khan in the entertainment industry, has been vocal about going out of the way to promote Fawad and that is rather sweet of him. But the question remains: Has Ali Zafar lost his exclusivity to pull off a movie on his shoulders?

Ali Zafar enjoys a massive fan following in India, be it for his acting or singing, but it seems he has lost the race to the more exclusive and suave Fawad Khan who has displayed a stronger screen presence. Fawad Khan comes across as the leading actor who can carry a movie all by himself. From featuring in the top five powerful celebrities of Bollywood to trending hash tags like #FawadFever, theZindagi Gulzar Hai star has been on a roll.

There is no denying of our love for both Fawad and Ali but we would be more excited to watch Ali Zafar deliver the performance he is capable of. Kill Dil once again pairs him with a two hero movie along with Ranveer Singh, and also veteran actor Govinda, but we hope Ali delivers an extraordinary performance and avoids being typecast in playing the second-fiddle in Bollywood.
