Seen some girls who becomes complexed and distrusting the men when have Kashaf kind of father . And put off to marriage . Naturally her all complains to God whatever she was going through and loved Sidra who was optimistic and once she said to her that she should God,s angel . Kashaf was also head strong and she has hidden herself behind the shell posing as rude ., where none can hurt her .
Her mother knew that Kashaf is more sensitive and thats why wanted her to save her . And which girl will stand thee watching her mother to get insulted . She has the guts to speak her mind as happened in library scene . Just go in to Kashaf kind of upbringing and then one can understand her psyche . Zaroon got througfh her becaise of Sidra,s help and he truely loved her and with his caring , love , bring her out of her self made cocoon . He shed his ego where Kashaf was concerned . He taught Kashaf to love and trust with his love .

OK.I tried to think from her side, one more doubt that her conversion from ungrateful<->Grateful person was not shown properly.
If it was just bcoz of love of any male in her life then what is the use of all her achievements she got earlier like got admission in university and topped it,passed civil service exam meritoriously and became independent person by herself.
No all these things are of no value for her but just acceptance by any male (her husband) with her twin daughters is the maximum limit set by her to be grateful.Stange!
From where I see her she in none other than a slave of male dominated society.

When they show Kashaf well settled with a secure job she is shown much more calmed down and more at peace with her world and also her face reflects a sense of achievement. Also I don't see her complaining much as such, though she still distrusts men in general and disappointed with her father. And funny you should say that she is none other than a slave in a male dominated society, coz she seems absolutely satisfied with her life and for her her life is complete and she isn't prone to the thinking that without a man and family in her life something is missing. Many a times this is shown in her conversation with her mom, who obviously feels her life is incomplete without a family.

I always felt that finally Kashaf agreed to marry Zaroon for 2 reasons. One was for the sake of her mother, when her mother tells her harshly that Kashaf should continue doing what she wants, at the expense of ppl talking bad abt her mother and 2ndly she gets convinced that Zaroon wld make a caring husband. And actually that was a very difficult thing to show considering how both Kashaf and Zaroon were shown. I remember reading dis comment so many times, about how Kashaf could hv agreed to marry Zaroon. But it was shown is such a convincing way tht the disbelievers too had to agree dat her decision was the right one!

Also may have been many things like rude, ungrateful, arrogant, but she was never a rebel. In fact she was quite the conformist. Also I suppose she had never given too much thought to being married and being a wife and hence did not know how to go abt it. It was her motehr who guided her after marraige and she heeded her mother's advice. Which again was shown in a very believable way.

Gosh I could write a thesis on ZGH in general and Kashaf in particular!😳😆

LOL. I hate to write such long posts and u know I realized how long it became and so stopped abruptly.😆

I hate typing and all and also tend to make so many typo errors dat I'm too lazy to correct. Bas ab I need some technology where my thoughts get transformed into written words.😉

Khamosshhh liked your thesis but you didn't answer Kashaf's transformation to grateful person which is still ambiguous as it was caused by Zaroon's acceptance for which I used 'slave' phrase.

First of all I really didn't understand ur terminology of calling her slave. And as khamosshh explained she was anything but a slave, she did everything on her own to make a better for herself in the society.
And again to Zaroon, how can a wife be slave to husband(unless and until she is way too subdued and considers husband as god) and Kashaf was exactly the opposite.Rather many times it was her who was harsh among the two.

Ya I would have, but as I said I realized wht a long post it had become and left abruptly.

OK once they get married, Kashaf does not change overnight into a loving wife She is conscientious person and proves to be a conscientious wife too. But slowly Zaroon's care and concern for her, his thoughtfulness, his being a 'typical' husband all gets to her and she starts falling for him. But at the same time she maintains her streak of independence/ individuality. She contributes pro-actively to make her marraige work, but tht in no ways makes her a door mat and neither does she bend over unnecessarily to please Zaroon. If she feels Zaroon is wrong, she holds on to her ground, in stead of pampering him or succumbing to all his wills and fancies. Also marraige is a 2 way street and in the power cut scene when Zaroon threatens to go out alone and smoke and Kashaf asks him where he got cigarettes and he says dey were in the car, but from the look on Kashfa's face he quickly clarified that dey were left over from old times. We don't construe Zaroon as a hen pecked husband for having to clarify himself to Kashfa. And he clarifies himself more than once, whereas Kashaf never does, even when she should have.

Then they have problems in their marraige and Kashaf leaves and returns to her mother's house. Here is where it dawns on her that she cannot live without Zaroon and she takes a call to whether let trivial matters hinder her marital life or go beyond that and work towards her marriage. She decides on the latter. And once she gives birth to her daughters and dey make a beautiful life she finds happiness and contentment and feels blessed and grateful. So it's her whole journey till into a few years of her marriage, that realization dawns that her zindagi is indeed gulzar.

I started watching Humsafar, but sorry all Humsafar fans don't kill me, am just not getting hooked to the show. I so want to.😳😆 Have watched 3 epis. Which ever Pak drama I watched after ZGH, I could not wait to go on to the next epi., but pata nahin kyun, am just not able to watch Humsafar. I am just hoping it gets better from now onwards, but for me a show should be gripping from the word 'go'. But I know I'll watch it just for Fawad!😳
