In 2012 , I decided that I will no longer indulge myself in any Soap Opera , American, Indian or whatever ,most of them (especially Indian serials) are highly unrealistic and filled with nonsense dramatic scenes, they start out good but later turns into crap.
But after many insistence and recommendation, I finally sat to watch an Pakistani serial and Zindagi Gulzar Hai happened.
The first thing I did was ,without meaning to, that I compared it to Indian serials , the show had simplicity that isn't found in Indian serials which are hidden in heavy unnecessary make up,ridiculous villainy and irritating background music, and this simplicity gave it sophistication and made it realistic, and without barely finishing half of the first episode , I was enchanted by it.
As I was watching , I felt comfort with the purity that is never found in American shows,but the best part was it is was a Muslim show portrayed correctly and respectably and as a Muslim it felt nice actually great for a change.
So hence I managed to watch all of ZGH in 2 days ,something I kinda regret as well coz I miss it dearly and my only complain is that I wish it was longer.
In conclusion, I very much like the idea of Pakistani serial and would like to watch more. Care to suggest.
Don't suggest Humsafar coz I am already watching it but till now it isn't as good as I expected, once I am finished with it , I will post my review on ZGH and Humsafar.
p.s does anyone have a Siggy of ZGH that I can use
