I'm liking how this is going. Shaan is Asmitas little helper. Its really good to see this side of Shaan. Normally he's having to play puppet to Nivi and Ridoy. Asmita will only bring out the best in him. Can't wait for more x

Okay so I received a feedback from my friend on this.. that it is quite filmy.. last part..😆, well the last part had kicked off a Bollywood movie buff in me.. so it might appear bit OTT 😳 but thoda drama and action toh banta hain na... When in serial you are so much of it...😲

Chapter 11

Another Chance

As they walked together outside the hotel both feeling little lighter and their own selves after such a long time. Shantanu watched her Puchki commanding her officers , as a proud bondhu he stood there recalling the journey it had been for that little girl from sonagachi to this confident officer on duty in front of him. He got reminded of that little girl he just saved , he enquired Inspector Jay about the girl who told him that girl was safe in their custody and they were planning to take her to hospital for routine checkup before handing her to her guardians. The trace for them was already on. Shantanu seeked his permission to meet that girl while Asmita was busy blasting and reprimanding hotel authorities for being often involved in these incidents.

He saw that little girl sitting in the corner of Police Van. She was still frightened , perhaps the day's events had been too traumatizing for poor kid. As soon as she saw Shantanu , she had a smile on her face as she ran out of Police van to meet her savior . Shantanu put a hand on child's head and comforted her.

Aapka naam khushi hain na? Aap yaha kaise aaye?

Shantanu's questions brought out khushi's sad story from her mouth. He got to know that She was being sold by her own people for greed of money and how these people were treating her. Shantanu was filled with anger on how could people stoop so low but yes he was not surprised though he had seen enough cases in his childhood to understand dark side of this world. He sat down with little khushi and consoled her.

Tum akeli nahi ho , Mere saath chalogi

Aapke saath ... Khushi was surprised with his words but there was a trust on this man that she had which was incredible considering many men in her life had failed her especially her own father.

He was making Khushi see some hope and dreams. Asmita was hearing his words, after a long time she felt pride in him. Love was always between them but there have been very less instances where Asmita had found respect for Shantanu. This side of him was yet unexplored for her in many sense.

Shantanu tum usse adopt nahi kar sakte .. Asmita broke both Shantanu and Khushi's dream as She explained legality of the issue at hand. Shantanu though was married but separated or it was complicated status as they would say and adopting a girl child needed some guidelines to be followed.

There was one way he could do that though if Asmita could claim their marriage as valid in front of court and since there were not officially divorced they can go for this adoption together. Asmita knew this fact but was hesitant in saying the same to Shantanu. However, she consoled him by assuring that Khushi will be taken care of by a NGO and not handed over to her parents. She also made promise to him that Khushi's parents would be soon brought to justice. As they lovingly bid adieu to little Khushi, Asmita watched Shantanu get bit emotional about that little girl.

Chalo ..ghar chalo..

Shantanu was surprised with her words..

Kya .. Sach mein.. Tumne mujhe ..matlab sach mein..

Asmita looked at him firmly and before he could further misinterpret her invitation she told him that she was inviting him only as a guest and also because he was unwell. For the sake of old times.. this is least that she could do in this state..

Shantanu saw Asmita again pretending to be hard with him, but Atleast she said for sake of good old times..

Soon they reached home and Pathan baba was really happy seeing both together. He thought Shantanu had managed to win Asmita's heart back but soon Puchki broke his day dreams as she again stated the reason of Shantanu being at her house. This time both Shantanu and Pathan baba smiled as hope of invading hardened Asmita's heart had rekindled.

Tumhare ghar se koi phone nahi aaya.. Kya Majumdar khandaan ko pta hain ki tum yaha ho..

Asmita asked Shantanu in taunting way, she was still unaware of what happened after she left Kolkata that day and thus was really surprised that Arindam or his Sir has not stopped him from coming over to her.

Main woh naam peeche chod aaya hu Puchki.. As he uttered those words, she looked at him with those shocking eyes. Pathan baba narrated her all the events that had taken place in Shantanu's life in past one year. Asmita just looked at him as he smiled ..

Ab toh tumhe yakeen hoga na .. Main sirf tumhare liye aaya hu..

There were too many things going around. She needed some time to figure out how she was feeling at that moment. It was a big deal for Shantanu to leave everything behind, the name for which he and his Chanda Ma had done so much sacrifice for. Was it still sufficient for forgiving him? She didn't want to be hard with him at the same time she needed some space to think through her decisions. She rushed outside to get some space and sense of things as he followed her quietly that night.
