“In the best conversations, you don't even remember what you talked about, only how it felt. It felt like we were in some place your body can't visit, some place with no ceiling and no walls and no floor and no instruments”

― John Green, Turtles All the Way Down

The episode starts with a flashback of MishBir 1.0 and their banter. Abir is teasing her about the bangles she made. When these two are in their element they are a laughter riot.

“Hey bhagwan seedi said choori gol banani ahati nahi issi roti kia khaak banai gi kon shaadi karay ga issay” Abir dons the avatar of a woman and questions Mishti’s skills

“Yah Ristha ho kar rahay ga Kaki main aap kay chokray ko ghodi par bhaga kar lay kay jaon gi” Mishti says that she will runway with her son but will get married. This line gave me so much hope. Ho kar rahay ga bit seems like foreshadowing.

“Tu bhag kar shaadi karay gi” He is surprised that she wants to elope

“Bhaag kar shaadi karna meri dream wedding hain par sab ko ghar par bata kar” She tells him its her dream eloping to marry but after telling everyone

“Tum puri ki puri pagal ho” He tells her that she is mental but the truth is he loves his mental, pagal chorni.

“Who toh main hu”

“Roti bhi gol nahi bana sakti churi bhi gol nahi bana sakti upar say dimag bhi gol hain tumsay na koi shaadi nahi karay ga aur agar karay ga toh bohot dhahj dena padhay ga” Abir again teases her that she can’t make round rotis and bangles.

“Saru che hain Kaki main apni shaadi main yah hi teri meri chooriyan pehnun gi. Waisay itni buri bhi nahi hain” She tells him that she will wear these bangles on her wedding and they are not even that bad. Then he takes one bangle from her hand and makes her wear it. Their eyelock in this scene, Mish legit blushes and Abir has the widest smile ever the one we all yearn to see in present day. As Varsha brings new bangles Mish is brought out of her reverie and as fate would have it she wears the bangle she made with Abir the one she vowed she would wear on her wedding. Mish is happy to see her family happy she is dying from inside but plasters a fake smile on her face.

Meanwhile outside the house the Rajvasnh bros are swinging on the gate like streek children no one can tell that they are in stress with Maasi being in jail,Mishti’s wedding they are having the time of their life. Abir feels he is lucky to have everyone by his side but Kunal reminds Abir that he has no idea how lucky they all are to have him. Then Kuhu arrives and asks them if they are ready. Abir is but Kunal is a bit hesitant because he believes that BP is acting more like a villain now and Kuhu taunts him that he should be used to it because his Maa is so evil. Even Ketu is in on the plan. Disguised as dancers AbiNal make a fabulous entry. Kuhu hands everyone head phones but Abir sneaks up to Mish and gives her headphones then he notices the bangle that she is wearing. A remnant of the time when things used to be good between them if she is wearing it perhaps there is still hope.

“Nice Choori” no matter how hard Mishti tries something or the other keeps her linked to Abir. As she dances happily, Abir can’t help but bless her for him Mishti’s happiness is the most important thing even if he is not the reason for it. It takes me back to how he said once.

“Agar kisi ki khusi tumhari khusi say juri ho toh?” he truly is happy seeing her happy

When she stumbles he stabilizes her and removes his disguise telling her that the need to talk else he will come in front of BP. She excuses herself and goes to meet him. What follows after is a beautiful Mishbir conversation.

“There's a much deeper and meaningful conversation being conducted in the space between the lines.”

― Dave Cenker, Second Chance

“Dair toh mujhse ho gayi hain I am sorry” He looks at her and the first thing he does is say sorry for letting things get messed up so much. He is late and for that he is sorry.

“Dair toh hum dono ko ho gayi hain Abir. Humri kahani main sab kuch teera mera tha kabhi bhi kuch normal nahi tha jo bhi tha jaisa bhi tha magar tha main purani yaadien ko saath jeena nahi chaati Abir main bohot royi hun aur abb hum dono kay baray main soch soch kar main rona nahi chaati I want to move on in my life. Iss liay please tum yahan say chalay jaon Abir” She tells him how its late for both of them. Their story was never normal it was convoluted but the truth is not uts a thing of the past. She hands him the bangle and tells him that she doesn’t want to live in the past anymore now she wants to move on. She has cried enough while waiting for him and now she doesn’t want to cry anymore. The earnestness in her eyes. He has hurt her to a great extent and as he looks at her he realizes that how now is not the time to fix them. He lets her vent it all out. Her family doesn’t listen but he does.

“Main tum say madad mangnay ahaya hu Mishti jo mujhay bohot pehaly kar laina chaiyay tha lakin main tab tumhari madad mangnay ki jaga tumhay khud say door kar diya” He tells her that he needs her help unlike last time where he decided on his own and pushed her away. Now he wants to know her point of view.

“Main tumhari koi madad nahi kar sakti Abir” She tells him she can’t help him. The poor girl is under so much pressure that she can barely help her own self .

“Mishti meri baat toh suno main jaan ta hu yay words tum nay mujh say kitni baar kahay hain par jo galti mainay ki thi who tum mat karo. Thanks. Actually main kisi ki life ka bohot bada decision lainay wala hu aik aisa insaan jis say main bohot pyaar karta hu” She is about to leave but he stops her and tells her not to make the same mistake he did. She stays and listens to him as he tells that he is at a crossroads where every path is treacherous and he is at a loss on what course to take as his loved ones are on the line.

“Abir meri aur Nannu ki shaadi honay wali hain so please” She tells him that she is going to get married

“I know janta hu main jaisay tumhary iss decision say tumhari poori life badal jaya gi waisay hi meri iss decision say meri poori life badal jaya gi. Mishti agar main uss insaan kay liay ladhta hun toh meri zindagi barbaad ho jayay gi agar main apnay liay ladhta hu toh uss insaan ki zindagi barbaad ho jayay gi please tell me main kia karun” He tells her that he knows but his one decision can change or destroy multiple lives.

“Tum hamesha apno kay liay ladhtay rahay ho Abir aur main hamesa sahi kay liay iss ladhi main kon jeetha hain mujhay nahi pata” She tells him how he always fought for his loved ones while she always fought for what’s right but she has no idea who won.

“Main toh sab haar gaya hun Mishti tumhay bhi main tumsay aur nahi ladh sakta meray andar aur ladhny ki himmat nahi hain. Kia tumhay kabi aisay laga tum himmat haar chuki hon” He tells her he lost everything even her and now he doesn’t have the strength to fight anymore. He asks her if there was ever a time where she lost hope.

“Meri himmat toh tum thay Abir lakin abb nahi ho” She recalls their GD where she had to get away from goons to reach her home at that time his words empowered her. With a sigh she tells him that he was her strength but now he is not.

“Mishti main dil say yahin chaata hun..” He just wants to fix things

“Mainay dil say sochna chod diya hain Abir tumhay advice chaiya na madad chaiyay na meri toh main tumhay aik advice dayti hu kay life main jo bhi decision lo kabi dil say mat laina kyun kay yay jazbaat feelings sab jhootay hotay hain in main koi logic nahi hota sachay hotay hain toh sirf facts” She lashes out that how she has stopped thinking from her heart and rather thinks from her head. Feelings and emotions are temporary and false only facts are logical and if one has to fight the one should use one’s brain.

“Mishti main..” He wants to explain himself but she doesn’t let him

“Sach yay hain kay tumnay mujhay chod diya tum mujh par bhaorsa nahi kartay aur yay sach kabi nahi badalnay wala Abir. Dil ka kia hain yay toh keh raha hain main abhi bhi kadhi ho kar tumhari baatien suno. Lakin main dil ki nahi suno gi aur na tumhari” She laments that how the way he left her and the fact that he doesn’t trust her are the only true things. Her heart still wants her to stay and listen to him speak but she won’t listen to either her heart or him.

“Mishti , help karnay kay liay thanks. Apna sach apnay saath lay kar jaon yay tumhay hamesha yaad dilate rahay ga tum kabi haar nahi maan sakti” As she is about to leave he stops her again and makes her wear the bangle. Something tells him that she needs a reminder of her strength so he tells her that the spark to fight, her unwavering strength was always within her and this choori would remind her of that whenever she feels like giving up. Isn’t it beautiful that just moments ago she told him that he was his strength and now yet again he motivates her and reminds her that the will to fight resides within her. The sad version of dheere dheere plays as she levaes notice how Abir’s hands are still in mid air as if holding her hand. He wished he could stop her but now is not the time he must fight the battle with his Maa first. This time he won’t go to Mishti and make half hearted promises with a sword looming on his head. He will go after he is off his Maa’s radar

“Hamesha ki tarah tum sahi ho Mishti main yay faisla emotional ho kar nahi lay sakta mera dil kuch bhi kahay main uss ki nahi suno ga” He admits that like always she is right he must tackle this matter by using his head rather then his heart.

What’s beautiful about this scene is how well these two know eachother. Abir could have told her the truth he could have used the conversation to mend things but he doesn’t because one look at her he recognizes that she is in no mood to listen. Rather her lets her let it all out. Even she recognizes hos genuine plea for help. Unknowingly and indirectly both help each other. One giving the other the tools to fight and the other reminding the other one about their inner strength. MishBir’s usps were their conversations and I am so glad they are back on the show.

Stray Thoughts

• Love how Parul Maasi just asks BB to stop her games. Her son’s happiness lies with Mishti and its high time that she stops blackmailing her son.

• Kunal being Nanko is the cutest thing ever.

Zaraaaaa!!!🤗

I'm so happy to read your analysis threads again. It shows how the show is going back to what it was. The charm that they had managed to lose with their awful execution and writing is starting to come back and I'm so so happy.

That little flashback, in the beginning, was so cute and as you said these two are a riot when they are together. The absolute contrast between MishBir when they were a couple and now when they are no longer together is depressing. I miss those cute dorks who knew how to have fun and be happy.

The fact that they have been reduced to these two who don't even know what they are doing anymore is heartbreaking. And You already know how I feel about that last scene of theirs. How absolutely in love with it I still am and how it's been so hard for me to explain why that scene holds so much significance for Mishbir and how brilliant the writing was for that scene.

You are probably one of the ones who truly understood the beauty of it and I am so happy I get to share that with you. I would be sad if I didn't have someone to talk to about it. Thank you so much for always taking the time out to pen these analysis down and try to explain the characters as you understood them to people out here!

I'm glad to have caught it. It is always such a pleasure!❤️

I loved how they set up the contrast. MishBir as a couple could talk about anything and everything because they were sure about each other's feelings. In contrast in the last scene Mishti is not even sure if their love is intact anymore and Abir is unaware if he can and is able to make promises to her given his Maa's threats.
