Seriously Kuhu I am so disappointed by your character arc . You and Kunal are the most self centered people in the drama. Yes your alliance broke but it was not like Misthi was seducing Kunal or something that his fam rejected you it was a part of Ben Baa's plan. Yes you lost your job but it wasn't due to Misthi it was actually due to Kunal because he couldn't bear that a girl stood up to him and said no. I get the resentment you have towards Misthi but honestly we all get involved in sibling rivalry as kids but then most of us rational sane people grow out of it. Arrey pagali pyaar bant nay say badtha hain(Love increases when you share it). Don't you have an iota of care for what your adopted sister has been through. Misthi's troubled past is the reason she wanted to evaluate a man before getting married to one. Her father was a scum and a criminal and she might be scared to get into a potential relationship to see if that man was any different then her father. Rarely has Kuhu ever shown some empathy for Misthi other then the icecream scene and when she pretends to be okay with the ristha in front of Badi MAA. Recently she has started a blame game. Also what does she like about Kunal like seriously that guy has no regard for other people's feelings and is downright dominating and controlling. He is only thinking about himself that meri feelings hurt hoi what about Misthi wasn't she hurt when you said that you don't want to parade around with a glasses wearing wife. At this rate both these self centered individuals should just get together. Their characters really need to redeem themselves and sadly such people do exist in real life .

Edit: Ben BAA is also very self centered but that's a post for another day.

Part 2

Seriously she was so mean to Misthi today. Does she even know that she herself wasn't a legal child before labeling Misthi's father. I know Misthi's father is trash but why is Misthi paying for his sins what is the poor girls fault. What about her own father who cheated on his doting wife while having a daughter with his office employee. Like Kuhu doesn't deserve to bear the brunt of her parents action even Misthi doesn't. Please Kuhu yaar kuch bhi don't stoop so low.

I believe writers have taken it too far right now with both the girls. resentment is bound to happen with the sisters. Happens everywhere.

Ben Ba ka failaya hua hai ye raita.

Actually I had started to like her muje is rishte ki zarurat ni. and her trying to find her niche but kunal ka jaap fir se

Kuhu has crossed this line again and again so I suppose at this point her venomous rants are hardly surprising.

The sisters have had a weird dynamic since day one, that the writers have never been able to clarify properly.

It's frankly an abusive relationship these sisters share. If the writers think they are just showing the typical sibling rivalry, they are dead wrong. Kuhu constantly berates Mishti and tells her to get out of the house...on no planet will this pass as just a typical sisterly tiff. And Mishti for her part barely ever pushes back at the fact that she is constantly made to feel like an outsider by a girl who is herself adopted by this family....LOL.

In one scene, Kuhu is saying such horrible things, taunting Mishti for having a messed up father while she herself has a great father and two scenes later, the sisters are happily hugging and making plans for how Mishti will help Kuhu get the guy she wants. Then in the next epi, suddenly Kuhu is helping Mishti get ready for the engagement.....LOL the execution is so lacking in coherence and emotional flow. The writers have not even remotely bothered putting in any emotional weight to the sisters ka relationship.....the fights are childish and one-dimensional and there is no depth of emotion or affection there....I frankly find it to be a toxic and abusive relationship cuz it mainly consists of Kuhu constantly spitting vitriol at Mishti and no one really checking Kuhu on the fact that she treats Mishti like an outsider to compensate for her twisted victim complex. Even Mishti herself isn't able to take a stand and is always cowed down by Kuhu making her feel like an outsider who needs to get out. And so the cycle continues.

Baking cakes and fixing lehengas doesn't make this a healthy or "normal" sisterly relationship from any angle. It's abusive, period. And the writers seem to have no clue how poorly they are executing this.

And word on just how unlikeable the principle characters are.

What especially puts me off is how everyone tries to play the victim and acts bipolar. In one episode, Kunal is an entitled sexist MCP, in the next epi he's crying cuz he had one broken rishta in the past *rolls eyes*. If the writers think that's going to make people empathize with him, they are dead wrong. This is not the way to "humanize" characters.

And Kuhu is another sample....absolutely self-centered, shallow and clueless about most things but ever ready to play the victim. Perhaps it's no surprise that her choice is Kunal. LOL made for each other victim complex couple with a victim complex Meenu saas to boot. Perfect.

I would have more respect for these characters if they owned their grey personalities rather than trying to play victim. Kuhu is direct but she loses me when she starts playing victim. Kunal is an obvious sexist MCP but him trying to play victim is just too unbearably disgusting.

It's not normal at all. Even the chachi is so mean and labels Misthi muh bholi its so annoying that nobody calls her out on that. Kuhu and Misthi have such an unhealthy dynamic even at the time of the ristha exchange Varsha was angry on Misthi.

Kunal is getting on my nerves too like seriously he has such toxic traits but no one calls him out on it. His fam just worship him and so does Kuhu.

What I feel is that kuhu will only have a reality check and change/ improve her relationship with mishti when the truth about varsha not being her mother and shaurya's extra-marital affair with her real mother is revealed to her. Right now she has this sense of entitlement that she feels she can mock and taunt mishti about her family because she thinks she has the perfect real family, but when all is revealed to her, she'll be stunned for words and her fragile ego will be hurt.

This is a problem on both sides. Kunal and Kuhu are both getting coddled by their families even when they misbehave.

For Kunal, Abir makes excuses ki Mera bechara Nanko, he means well. For Kuhu, Mishti strangely still feels affection despite only getting abusive rants from Kuhu. Both sides of the family seem clueless about how to get these siblings to know how to behave.
