I'll never understand the taste of trp audience. Good content shows hardly get good trps & over dramatic, non sense stuff tops the chart. I think this show has a decent trp considering it was launched during IPLs, which is still going on. Moreover it's in the initial stage & it will surely take some time to attract more viewers. The show is doing extremely well on online trp charts. Hotstar uploads the episodes even before the episode airs. This can be one more reason. The good thing is, it's still a slot leader show. I feel Star Plus needs to promote it properly. More promos & more repeat telecasts. Idk why this step motherly treatment is given to their newly borned show? A show that has a great potential.

Shaheer and Rhea look fine to me. Shaheer as Abir is likable. I have never seen the parent show, nor Ishqbaaz nor Shaheer's previous show. So I won't compare it with anything or anyone. I've found a good show to watch after so long. Yeah there are certain things which I'm not liking but I'm ready to give makers a chance & wait patiently :)

U really think this is a modern take on rishta ? I feel this is some other century take..lolzz some.muddled up rishta creation ..

Anyhow , what this serial really needs is some light moments ..too much of melodrama happening for no reason . Its a joyous occasion , the rishta talk of girl and boy. The atmosphere is like someone has died...stop being so serious cvs. Lile kuhu says ...what..hashtag dukh dard ki dukan ..cmon young gen people ..so confused and begging what they want.

I do want to give this show a try and i am tired of hearing enjoy till it lasts, something which was said across boards last year when i was following other shows.

Is the cross connection boring to the audience or Abir's character hasn't gone down well ? Are Maheshwari's too good to be true ?? what else

First and foremost from my side Shaheer and Rhea do not come across a handsome couple, if one looks at krpkab the physical compatibility between Shaheer and Erica was very evident. Yes it was 3 years ago and i felt he looked better. Here he has lost weight i think and looks different.

Then the mother ie Rupal Patel, she too much into a vamp mode. Downright evil. Not seen much of her, i believe sudden transition from a vamp to a emotional mother will be difficult. Not an actor who can change shades quickly. Voice modulation is required.

Above all what is shown at 9.30 pm if it is old book in a new cover it ain't interesting as all will prefer the old story. New viewers need something different.

If Ishqbaaz viewers are watching this there will be a thorough disconnect as it maintained its viewers for three years and the performances especially Shivika as a pair was adored to glory. That zing isn't present here.

In this show Akshara is referred and she is Hina Khan who is doing something else, her fan base actually watch her in any avatar without thinking about the story. I do not think Shaheer has those kind of fans in India who will increase trps just bcos he has a show in hand. Everything has to fit in otherwise it is a mismatch. Ritwick was the ML in Tu Ashiqui, he needs screen space, i am sure he will be liked too provided his character goes in sync with Kaveri.

Moreover IPL this really destroys shows , Dukaan hi band kar dethe gain.

And he is very vocal that he liked his character as it was relatable to him in real life. Abir is in many ways similar to Shaheer rather than studying the story or plot. His concepts and shows were so different and it is more content based even with flaws

But how can a senior actor just fall for a character and not dwell on the script. Star won't see characters in a show they see ratings. He must know that.

Lol I think the show is a lot better than the crap being dished out in other shows on Star Plus. Dayans, sautens et el. The writers just need to stop making some of the drama so contrived and flimsy. Abhir-Mishti as a couple have immense potential. I don't think they are mismatched and am personally loving their character arch (minus the cross connection). I hope the TRPs improve but I won't break my head on it and watch this show so long as it entertains me. For now, it is.

I am currently watching Patiala Babes on Sony. It is good in content wise and no where in TRP race. The trp system is in fault as it takes account only few viewers count not whole. All channels go slow and will not launch new series until IPL going on and it will end in May. Currently color channel serials are not doing well on TRP chart and 2 serials KKB are doing well for Zee and weekend for Sony so SP daily serials are coming on chart. Interesting to see how other channels will come up in TRP after IPL.

Guys, I don't think anything is wrong with the story or we need to panic about the TRPs right now. Because the show is still new, the characters, the chemistry between them, the story, everything takes time to establish itself. Channels tend to amputate a nice developing story due to this TRP scare. There are plenty of examples.. I don't think I need to give examples.

And I feel the story is working, because people like to watch it.. Otherwise, how would it get record breaking points in online platform? The problem is that when most of the viewers start watching online, they don't tune into TV to watch it. This misguides the channels into believing that since the TRPs are low the track isn't working, and they ruin the story.

So guys, if you are watching the show online, then tune into TV also to increase the TRPs and prevent the story from getting butchered. If you are watching it on TV, then keep watching. I know the heartbreak of such brutal butchering.. So please folks, a stitch in time saves nine!
