Like most epis, this one also only picks up once the Abir-Mishti scene starts at the halfway mark😆.
Abir's "Wow wow" leading to Mishti asking him if he's oh so impressed with her or if he's Saif Ali Khan that he's busy doing "Wow Wow"😆😆...Rhea did that bit really well😆
As a character, Abir remains hard to get a handle on. He seems to love uplifting sad/sorry souls with grand speeches on life and happiness while hardly giving himself a chance😕😆...Is anyone going to point out his hypocrisy on this point? Why should everyone else give a chance to things while he himself backs off over half a chance? 😕😆
The symbolism continues today with Abir looking for a paragliding partner and Mishti happening to walk in to the area just right then...lol Abir is so busy manipulating Kunal ka rishta with Mishti, he fails to see that destiny once again pulled Mishti in as his partner.
Abir also seems to have a very soft corner for sad/depressed souls...one is his brother Kunal and the other is Mishti...for both of them he uses similar descriptions of how they look like burdened souls with all the world's weight on their shoulders...and so Abir has tasked himself with being the happiness guru for these two for whatever reason...lol...today also, that was the first description he put out for Mishti...before adding that she appears so maasoom despite looking so angry and violent 😆...He is fascinated by her but to what extent? Only when she's in front of him?
There was a bit of a disconnect in how extra happy Abir was shown today about Kunal-Mishti and him being so casual with Mishti in general...it was hard to square with the emotional Abir from Friday's epi...some introspection would have been nice.
Anyways, the paragliding scene itself was nicely done...again filled with metaphors and projections about how Abir and Mishti view life...him the one seeking risk and thrill while she's the cautious/wary one hesitant to take a risk...I don't know if Abir was deliberately trying to nudge her into considering the Kunal rishta or giving her life gyaan in general to lighten her up but Mishti was deffo applying all of it to the rishta issue...lol...I liked the bit where she opens her eyes to look down and remarks how small all the buildings look from up there, to which Abir replies that the higher you rise up in life, the smaller all problems look...lol
The hug was also refreshingly done...Mishti hugging him in instinctive joy feeling happy about managing to do something daring for once with the paragliding and Abir himself didn't get awkward either...the hug just flowed before Mishti finally withdrew after feeling a bit awkward...but this hug I think has set the tone for where this is going...a friendship and instinctive bond b/w them while Mishti grapples with getting to know Kunal.
Abir's thought process is a mystery in terms of the degree to which he liked Mishti...has he compartmentalized and moved on for the sake of Kunal? Is he putting on a facade to hide his emotions? Is he really so casual about everything? lol hard to tell...even as I like his banter with Mishti, I find myself actively noting how many things he's being a hypocrite about...telling others to live life to the fullest, to give things a chance...passing gyaan while not applying any of it to himself😆...I would like to see his life philosophy being clarified better beyond the flippant gyaan...why does he exclude himself from these lessons?
I liked that Mishti questioned why no one even thought to ask her opinion while making decisions for her...but inevitably she will succumb as all girls do to the pressure of CONSIDERING and giving a rishta a chance..."no pressure"...or so they say😆
