I think they're still intending to copy Ghum post leap, but with a twist. There Pakhi didi was whitewashed and shown as Virat's wife , but it wasn't accepted by the audience. Here , they're making Ruhi a true achi aurat so that audience forget she was once a third angle between the leads. It's effective too.
So that when this new entry comes to marry Armaan, they'll show her as mean and spiteful and finally Ruhi will step in to protect pookie and probably pookie (what a ridiculous name !) will bond with Ruhi and will want her as mama. That'll probably lead to Ruhmaan marriage with family support. By the time Clownbheera returns with memories, Ruhmaan will be settled with Daksh and Pookie , and everyone who's on Clownbheera 's side will turn against her and ask her to not come between Ruhmaan. In Ghum also, Sai's biggest supporter pre leap, Virat's mom was her biggest hater post leap.
Bottomline is without Ruhi, there's no drama, no TRP. Ratings will crash with Clownbheera 's adventures in Punjab & Armoron spoiling pookie.
