I don't even think it was mahan ness in this case. I think dkp has a issue of punishing his characters especially the vile ones. KP, doesn't even regret her actions calling Shivani soulten, when we know who is the real soulten. The said Ar should be grateful cause they did him a favor of raising him and enrolling him in the best school

Shivani in order to save Rohit could have lost her life and watching this Vidya ko realise hota how wrong she did to shivani throughout her life but she gave up her life in order to save Vidya's son.

In order to return the favor back Vidya could've become the surrogate for Abhimaan's child. Shuru mein thoda drama hota but baad mein woh sabko convince kar leti.
