After watching this generation and some clips of Umpa, I can say that makers/CVs can anytime make or break any character. Look at Armaan's character graph. Shiv Shakti still comes to mind today, but it doesn't influence as much now because he has shown overall growth.

So, I feel in the previous generation, the makers/cvs (for whatever reason) just didn't want to make ABHIRA couple as endgame. Otherwise, they could easily extend that generation by showing redemption for all affected characters. They had a son; they could easily show the happy family kind of story, but they just didn't want that. They also knew that HC is a big name and has a bigger fan base, so somehow his fans will be loyal to him, won't hate the character no matter what the character does. Hence, they deliberately made FL more hateable.It means they chose the easy way as they didn't want to face the consequences of their actions from HC's fan base (in my personal opinion/view). Here, nothing like that is with RP or Sam, so I don't think a achha admi or aurat will come this time.

I don't have ruru kinda umeed in DKP but still hope that they won't spoil this generation like they did with past generations. They can show angst and separation (meaningful not white day wala typical) that too without third angle.

Like Kaveri said today, audience ne kafi moke diye hai DKP ko agar iss baar bhi bharosa thoda to phir they will lose big time.

I'm not surprised with the positivity as gen 3 fans and gen 2 fans also never imagined that their favs would be ruined in this manner . Everyone believes the current couple will go through all odds..trust me if they ruined kaira which was their real cash cow , they can do it for anyone. And with abhiman toh they did it already, once . All other couples started their journey as couples , then separated . They gave abhiman a third angle , divorce and separation already so I don't have high hopes.

..they can do it again with gen 4 anytime... It's much easier .. the current actors don't have a huge fan base as prev leads or gen 2 or gen 1.

I agree with you! It's all business, and importantly, it's their business. If we talk about ruining, they have already ruined many characters this generation, not just leads.

I decided (silly me) to watch this generation (it's all my doing) as I like the actors playing leads (not a fan of Prince but he was looking good with Sam and he was replaced with RP I was on cloud 9 as I really like him). So if they end together, I will be the happiest, and if not, then also I won't curse the next generation and characters. I won't be Ruhi; I will take responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences.

There is no reason to be bitter but it might be difficult for the fans if their fav char is ruined at the cost of somebody unwanted.. look at how much Hate ruhi gets ..if tomorrow they ruin abhira & favour ruhi (they did it in ghum) , make arman marry ruhi , will anyone think objectively for ruhi ?

They are currently favoring Ruhi, so they will surely continue to favor her in the future as she is their favorite PL. I will keep watching as long as my favorites are together. If they make Armaan marry Ruhi, I will definitely stop watching it for my mental peace. No good man for Abhira, no good woman or for Armaan, or no Ruhi for Armaan, no Armaan for Ruhi, because it's not an endgame if they don't end up together. And for those who may not be the endgame, what's the point in keeping an interest, spending time, or doing anything for them? story ke liye ITV kabhi nahi dekha jata that I have learnt
