I believe ki age ghr ka koi aur member other than maa, ko kuch hota. To armaan bhot smartly and calmly solve kr leta. But Vidya is his weakest point. So he got that anxiety attack that day. And for abhira also.

Baki kisi k liye wo anxiety feel ni krta. Bs apni responsibility nibhata.
