To be honest, the truth needs to be out for the Abhira-Armaan relationship to progress. From Abhira's POV, she just recently caught Arman in a cosy moment with his chit-wali ladki and thinks Arman considers Ruhi a better friend than her. She will never fall for a man like this who has her very low on his priority list. When the truth comes out, she will feel disgusted and might initially hate Armaan, but this is when Armaan's past will come into play. She will realise Armaan's true position in the family. She will also realise that Arman sacrificed Ruhi for Rohit, and she will likely guilt-trip herself that she was the reason Ruhi and Arman aren't together (the phone MU).
