I am reading POVs that she is one of the weak FLs on itv now. For me every FL is unique and there is no problem in having FL who looks weak, scared of facing the problems, wants to be in her safe havens than face the world. However, I would love to see her character grow and she is, albeit slowly.
I see AK, not resorting to counteraccusations in pre-leap, when she is accused of the things she was not party to. She hangs her head in shame, almost accepting the blame. AK is shown to be selfless, extrasensitive person. She feels that it is her responsibility to make everyone happy even at cost of her happiness. This is outcome of both being good person and a victim of scapegoating as a child. She is been blamed for killing seerat maa when she was a child. The accusation is too much for a child to handle. Also, AR's blame that she is the reason for her unhappiness. AK has internalized this feeling. She feels, she is the reason for people's unhappiness. Hence, she goes overboard to make people happy. It is not a healthy strategy to live a life as one takes a decision that ultimately hurts people more.
Post- leap, we see her giving it back but still it is not with full strength atleast till today. She has not fully overcome the scapegoating trauma yet. She gave it back AbhiM in Kasauli, rejecting his apologies, saying, ' muze un cheezo ke liye jimmedar theheraya gaya..., lekin ab mei apane liye jimnedar hona chahati hun'
On second occaision, she gave it back to Manjiri, but not for herself, for defending AbhiN.
Right now, her strength is coming from the peaceful phase that she had in Kasauli without any allegations that have healed her partially and she knows that she has refuge to go back to.. One is Kasauli home and other is AbhiN.
The ultimate growth of character would be the ability to give it back that is outcome of inner strength more than outside supports like kasauli home and AbhiN.
AK's relationship with AbhiN also should not come from her hurt mindset, not out of need but wanting to have companion. Right now, atleast it looks like it is mixture of both, need and want. I see Want more.
It will be injustice to AbhiN if she chooses him out of need as that is the last thing the character wants. If AbhiN feels that, the best thing for him would be to outgrow the need of AK and family, as he has higher horizones to reach due to his benevolent nature for the society.
