I agree. For the first leap the issue was Abhi thought Ak loved him less than he loved her or that he wasn't her priority like she was his. For the second leap however, I think the issue from Abhi's side is that she prioritized helping strangers ( kid at the picnic, girls at NGO) instead of her own health and her kids' health, despite seeing how hard he was working to keep her healthy. I mean, the guy was a saint with his patience during that time, and we all suspect he was popping a ton of anxiety meds.
I also agree with the smooth sailing of Ak-Nav ( to be fair we don't know what happened during the past six years ). At least they never had any family issues or emotional entanglements. I also want to add that Abhi and Nav's conflict resolution is very different. First, Ak's worst quality is how stubborn and self-righteous she can be. Abhi is very straightforward and often pushes Ak too far. Nav, on the other hand, resorts to manipulating Ak until she contradicts herself and accepts that she is wrong. In this matter, even though personally I would prefer Abhi's method, Nav's method works better on Ak.
