I agree. For the first leap the issue was Abhi thought Ak loved him less than he loved her or that he wasn't her priority like she was his. For the second leap however, I think the issue from Abhi's side is that she prioritized helping strangers ( kid at the picnic, girls at NGO) instead of her own health and her kids' health, despite seeing how hard he was working to keep her healthy. I mean, the guy was a saint with his patience during that time, and we all suspect he was popping a ton of anxiety meds.

I also agree with the smooth sailing of Ak-Nav ( to be fair we don't know what happened during the past six years ). At least they never had any family issues or emotional entanglements. I also want to add that Abhi and Nav's conflict resolution is very different. First, Ak's worst quality is how stubborn and self-righteous she can be. Abhi is very straightforward and often pushes Ak too far. Nav, on the other hand, resorts to manipulating Ak until she contradicts herself and accepts that she is wrong. In this matter, even though personally I would prefer Abhi's method, Nav's method works better on Ak.

Also just because something is not explicitly shown im fiction, doesn't mean it's not part of the narrative.

Also, an educated surgeon (one rarely becomes a surgeon before early-to-mid 30s) stalking a super young girl, forcing her to change her lack of consent, disqualifies him from any moral high ground no matter how 'upper' his so-called caste and class are!

The fact that so many young kids are so obsessed with someone's cultural background is troubling.

I don't really care about cultural background, but the age issue, I think they showing that he was a prodigy and managed to become a surgeon very quickly, so he is in his late twenties at the beginning, and Ak is in early twenties. So at most, they have 5-6 years age gap. Ofc the actors have a much larger gap and I wish they got a younger actor for Abhimanyu.

Second thing, he didn't stalk her or groom her or anything, really. In fact, after she said she didn't love him, he was trying to move on. But then she only came back into his life and planned a birthday for him. Then she defended him in that trial. It's more like she gave a bunch of mixed signals, and he was super confused. Finally, he gave up and decided to marry arohi for his mother ( obviously a very bad reason ). But even then, Ak was the one giving mixed signals, Abhi was always clear on the fact that he loves her. Forcing her to reveal her feelings for him by faking death, I can't support that, but what else was he supposed to do? Marry her sister? Leave from both of their lives?

Yes live from both of their life and get some space from his maa. Even then she was manipulative. Basically all of them need therapy

Sorry. So just because someone rejected a romantic proposal, they are not supposed to testify for an innocent man in a criminal trial with real consequences? Because ladke ko mixed signals ka bahana deke ek young ladki ko stalk karne ka bahana mil jayega? Gaslight karke no ko yes mein badalane ka mauka mil jayega?

And even if she loooved him—which is impossible because inka chance meeting, confession, shaadi happened within a month or so— what right did he have to override her lack of consent?

Bhai, I loooove Aditya Roy Kapoor and probably he even 'loves' in the way that one appreciates a fan but I cannot and will not go stalking him and faking my death to force him into a relationship. He'd rightly slap a sexual harrassment suit on any such person.

So, any decent person would leave both the sisters alone if they didn't wish to be with one and the other rejected them. That's how normal people function.

P.S. A surgeon being not only considerably older (even if we leave aside the fact that you cannot fasttrack a cardio residency) but also the owner of the hospital makes the stalking and gaslighting 100% worse. Workplace romance is a common trope in romantic fiction but it is rarely done well.

He wanted himself to be her priority but after marriage when jas he ever made her his priority?

1) Blamed her for Neil's truth.

2) Blamed her for his parents anniversary fiasco.

3) Blamed her for when she refused to steamroll his mom into divorcing her husband and called their marriage a mistake and wanted to separate from her.

4) Blamed her for choosing 1 yr of separation over his permanent death.

5) Thought she was conspiring to hide Kairav from the police and handed her divorce papers.

6) Did not believe her when she told him about Kairav's innocence proof and got Manish and Kairav wrongfully arrested.

7) Did not believe her when she told him Arohi wanted to marry Neil for power.

8) Gave into his mum's demands and did not listen to her when she asked him to jot get Neil and Arohi back to the Birla house.

9) Called her a murderer and divorced her at her vulnerable worst.

Also, just threw her mother's death — her weakest spot— in her face just to get back at her. He actually apologised for that so little mercies, I guess?

Ummmm...... Errrrrrrr...... . Yes!!!

.... It's pretty simple actually, don't marry one sister while being in love with another... Its the bare minimum... And after years, he is still doing this ringa ringa roses.
