Abhi is defo not the adopted child. The adopted child is most likely neil, but the twist being he is harsh's kid from an affair and harsh did not want the kid due to family reputation, and when manjiri got to know she adopted neil. Possibly harsh doesn't even know neil is his kid who he abandoned and thinks that manjiri adopted a random kid without his consent, and the rest of family and neil don't know that neil is harsh's real son either, but abhi does.

I don't think the adoption papers will play any role right now in the abhi-arohi marriage track. I think it may play a role after abhira marriage, where it may be discovered that neil is adopted but the biological son of harsh who he abandoned, and so later harsh may tell neil to marry arohi to get his acceptance (because harsh still wants a doctor bahu).
